One of the big assets for Dr. TD is that she was a teacher first. Then she got into this line of work. Teachers may be our most under-appreciated careers.

I've read on here where she "talks a lot."

Well, she's a teacher by trade, and it's highly unlikely that anyone has more education than her. So, talk away, Dr. TD.

Dr. Duncan and her staff are wonderful. My daughter was having a really hard time adapting to our divorce. She was withdrawn and angry. Working with Dr. Duncan was a blessing. My daughter felt comfortable and was able to open up to her. I was very appreciative of Dr. Duncan's interaction with her as well as me. Dr. Duncan did not sugar coat anything when it came to her advise, believe me it is hard to hear when you are part of your daughters problem. With out her help my daughter could have taken a different path. We are now family of divorce, with clear communication and our daughter is flourishing.

I have read some of these other reviews, I feel that they are unjust and they are more concerned about themselves then their kids. April was always helpful. There were times insurance didn't cover everything, that was not the office's fault, it's about helping your kiddos. I usually don't do reviews like this, but I just felt compelled to set the record straight.

If anyone recommends this lady for a social investigation, therapy, a cup of tea, etc, you better run. She will side with whomever pays her first. She will pretend to be your friend, then light you on fire. She talks so much, I don't know how it's possible for her to listen to anything that comes out of your mouth. She'll ask you a question then interrupt you while you're answering, constantly. I'm sure all the good reviews on here is either they are friends of hers, they themselves are like her, or Dr. Duncan lied in their favor so they love the outcome and can live with themselves. This lady's husband is a lawyer, so she knows how to navigate the law while saying very little. The one phrase that constantly comes out of her mouth while she's talking and interrupting you is "...you know what I'm saying?" She must say that at least 15 times a minute.

My personal experience with Duncan was that she is extremely egocentric and narcissistic. She’s more interested in hearing herself talk than she is in listening to understand what’s going on with your family. She’s very interested in getting paid and her office admin, April, helps her squeeze out every penny she can from you for her “services”. In my experience with her, Duncan lacks both professional and personal integrity and should not be allowed to practice. There are serious issues with her practice and I strongly recommend staying away from her. She’s playing games with peoples’ lives and getting paid for it. She enjoys this power it gives her and the ego trip. Run from this place!

We found Dr. Duncan to be very knowledgable and helpful with our daughter. The staff was pleasant and the experiences gave us clarification and direction. It was work and tough to hear things at times and it was a challenge for our daughter. But in the end well worth the effort.
