I am so glad I made the decision to go to Tree of Life almost a year ago. It was my first time at therapy, and I was an anxious mess.. feeling like I can’t control my thoughts and emotions, not being able to work, having relationship problems, and not wanting to live. Reflecting on my first session with Brandi, I am amazed with the progress I have made with my depression and anxiety over the course of several months. I was really suffering in my emotional pain, and although therapy wasn’t a quick fix, my mood, self-esteem, and outlook on life have made a drastic recovery. It’s a lifelong process, but I feel very confident that I have the tools I’ll need if/when my depression or life knocks me down again. Brandi really cares, and you will know that by the end of your first session. She also takes a more holistic approach, and pointed me to the right direction regarding recommendations for things to do outside of her office (books to read, diet, yoga, & exercise) as well as referring me to a physician for medical treatment, which she suggested judiciously after natural treatments were not enough to boost my mood or improve my energy. Brandi is amazing at what she does, and she is experienced in so many aspects of mental health. I know Tree of Life Counseling has the potential to help you change your life too if you let it.
