ABC is by far one of the greatest centers for autism that my family has seen and been to, this center in specific! They have become family, each and every staff member has treated both of my sons with so much love and care it’s truly heart warming! Our five year old is thriving and we have ABC and the team to thank for that! Everyone here is so welcoming and understanding to every child, their family and their specific needs. I know for a fact that my sons are safe, are being cared for and are reaching their goals with the help of their RBT’s! ABC is truly life changing! I cannot thank the team enough for all that they do! I cannot recommend them enough !

My son was referred to an ABA Center after being diagnosed with autism. Initially we had so many questions on what ABA actually was. We found Action behavior centers while doing research and called to get more information. Every single person I have interacted with has been extremely helpful and caring. They gave us all of the information we need, set up a tour, and always made sure to follow up on any questions or concerns. My son started 40 hours a week in June of 2022 and we could not be happier. He has developed so much and is so happy being here with the staff. Everyone my son has been paired up with has been so wonderful and he loves everyone he works with. We have meetings every week with the progress and are informed with everything along the way. This has been the best decision we have made to have him here so he can transition into a school setting. We are so confident in action behavior centers and how they’ve helped our son!

Full time or forget it
Our son started at this location when it first opened. If approved by insurance they want your child to attend full time 40 hours of therapy, suggesting less than that is not an option because ABC feels it is clinically necessary. We started our son with the understanding that not only is he on the spectrum but that he has UNDERLYING HEALTH CONDITIONS. The first 3 months showed such promise his one on one therapists were great. Unfortunately since this location has begun expanding it has been a revolving door of operational managers and therapist working with my child, with that being said my son caught Covid from one of his therapists and since then his health has not been the same. We have taken every precaution and have done everything to work with ABC. Even if we felt the long days of therapy were too much for our child, it never felt like an option to go part time. Long therapy hours, over stimulation and medications contributed to naps during sessions that they required a doctors note for him to nap. They claim they have your child's best interest in mind but my son just spent a month in the hospital and within 1 day of his return to the center they discharged him, they didn't even give him a chance. They said they were willing to ease him back in to see how he does but they decided within the 1st day he returned! Even if his doctors had approved his return to ABC and we felt he would do well for at least 4 hours of therapy the impression we got was It's full time or forget it. We were told to reach out when our son is well enough to return to their center.
We hope that other families will have a better experience than we had.

I can’t thank them enough! I’ve notice a huge difference since my son started attending the center. He’s only been there for not even 2 full months and my son now makes eye contact, he’s learning sign language and has improved sooooo much! I went from not sleeping at night due to him not falling asleep for the last 2 years. He would sleep a few hours a night. Now he gets his full 8hrs sleep and now takes naps. My son would spend hours crying and I would try to figure out his needs and was unsuccessful. Now he shows me what he wants. The staff has become a family and everyone is so nice and patient with our kids. To see the joy in his face when we get to the center, he goes straight to the door ready to go through the secured area. I can now go to work without worrying about him. He’s in great hands!! I absolutely love and recommend this center to any parent struggling with a child with autism. We have to remember that every child learns different, the amount of one on one time each child gets is what has made a huge impact on my son. If I could give you guys more stars, I would!!!!! This staff is very knowledgeable!!!

If I could give more than 5 starts I definitely would! They have been with me thru the entire process of getting my daughter evaluated and getting her enrolled into their amazing program. I was actually hesitant myself with starting ABA after hearing some negative things BUT Action behavior center has completely changed my mindset! I love that they’re so personal and helpful from the front desk to therapists and BCBA. My daughter is in love with this place and is always excited to go! She’s only been going for almost a month and she’s already made a lot of progress in her behaviors and I am so proud! I even recommended Action to a friend out of state they’re so good! Thank you to everyone I’ve worked with and continue to work with throughout mine and my daughters autism journey❤️ 🙂

I absolutely love this place. It has not only changed my child's life but ours as well! I love all the therapists and BCBAs. Don't judge this place from the inside as they say don't judge a book by it's cover. I know it may seem small but it has done amazing for my daughter. She has went from non verbal and melt downs and now we're going on two years in now and she talks so much with little to no melt downs. They even have a speech therapist from wheels on the bus speech therapy that goes there to provide speech. They implement everything. I can't tell you how much this place means to me.

We ended up not going with ABC due to schedules not working out but they still deserved a shoutout. Ashleigh and Kristen were the two we talked to and they were both great. Ashleigh collected our information and was patient and informative. Kristen gave us the tour. Kristen went into depth about their operation and we were impressed. and Kristen also went beyond to give us additional (outside) information after we had decided it wasn’t going to workout. Both showed that they were in it to make sure my kid got the help he needed.

Before my 2yo non-verbal daughter started ABC, she was very shy, quiet, scared to go to anyone but her parents. She would kick and scream when she asked for something. She could not repeat movements or play with peers. The list can really go on. Once my daughter started ABC (3/24/2021), within a couple of weeks, we noticed a change. She is more engaged in activities, songs and dancing with peers her age. She makes great eye contact with who she is interacting with. She is no longer shy when she is around someone she is typically not use to seeing. Not to mention my daughter is signing more. Structure, routine, and being around peers her age is what my daughter needed. I can tell my daughters therapist care about her and want her to succeed. The operations manager, Craig is very attentive and responsive. BCBA, Lisa is A-MAZING and very knowledgeable. I am thankful we found ABC Avondale!
