I have to admit I was a sceptic, but Dr Chen has changed my opinion regarding acupuncture. I had a nasty fall, injuring my right knee and left ankle. After immobilization for several weeks and PT for 6 months, I reached a point where my progress plateaued, but the pain and swelling was still there. I thought eventually they would go away, but over time the pain and swelling only got worse. Friends recommended that I try acupuncture with Dr Chen. What a difference! I started feeling and seeing results after the first session. After 5 sessions, my ankle is almost back to it's original size and I am no longer experiencing the level of pain I've had these past few months. I highly recommend Dr Chen!

I reluctantly took one of my friend's advice to see Mr.Chen because of my nagging back problem. I was surprised/impressed by the first treatment itself. Mr.Chen is a highly talented Acupuncturist. His Tuina massage is out of the world. Has a lot of experience in performing and teaching Acupuncture. I took several sessions and got quite a bit of relief. He is honest in his business and has no unfulfilled promises. I thoroughly recommend his practice. Acupuncture may only be for some, but you only know if you try it.

A good friend of mine, who is a Personal Trainer and Physical Therapist for over 30 years, highly recommended that I see Dr. Chen to resolve my injured shoulder. The injury was the result of a slip and fall injury months earlier that became progressively worse over time. Prior to my first session with Dr. Chen, I could not move my left shoulder, which seemed to be frozen in place and I was in a lot of pain. Because of the pain, I couldn’t sleep in a bed and had to use a recliner and only slept a few hours each night. After 3 sessions with Dr. Chen, I dramatically improved my mobility in my left shoulder and the pain has been reduced by at least 70%. The next time I have an injury, I plan to schedule a session with Dr Chen shortly thereafter because I have confidence in him to help resolve the problem.

Dr. Chen is a true healer. He has eliminated insomnia. Cured sinus problems and regulated our blood pressure. Mary has received both acupuncture and tuina treatments. We would recommend seeing Dr. Chen regularly for general health maintenance purposes as well as for specific ailments. We sense how much he cares for his patients and his touch is so delicate we don't feel the acupuncture needles. We can count on leaving his office after every visit feeling infused with energy and very relaxed. We feel lucky that we have come across Dr. Chen. He is a rare physician, who we highly recommend.

I was skeptical of alternative medicine as I come from a family very involved in the medical field. However, I have a herniated disc in my neck, physical therapy was not helping very much at all. The next clinical approach was injections in my spine and if that did not work, then surgery. My sister had recommended Dr. Chen because he had helped her with a whiplash injury. It has been a godsend. I am back to about 90% of what I was and it has only been about 10 treatments. The change was evident after the 1st treatment. I can't explain how acupuncture works but Dr. Chen did an amazing job. I guess it just proves that just because we don't understand something, we should still always keep an open mind.

I was looking for a good acupuncturist in the area and when I read so many good reviews I thought that I finally found one. Unfortunately, that was not the case for me. I did not feel comfortable in his tiny office. The beds for the patients are not situated in private rooms, but simply placed in one area and separated by curtains. I had a similar experience once in NYC in Chinatown where many businesses were located so close to each other. I did not think I’ll have a similar experience here.
Another thing which I did not like is that Dr. Chen does not give a receipt right away after getting a payment. He said that he would give it at the end of the treatment, which I think is unreasonable. If I’m paying for every treatment separately and not at the end of series of treatments, then I should get receipts right away. After two sessions I decided not to come anymore and had to drive especially to him to get a receipt. I had to drive twice because I did not know that I have to call in advance and make an appointment just to get a receipt (!). I came during the time when the office was supposed to be open and it was closed instead. This really pissed me off that I had to come twice especially just to get a receipt.
As for the treatments themselves, I cannot say a lot. During the two times I saw Dr. Chen, he did not help me at all.

Dr Chen has miracle hands. I had pain in my lower back/hip for almost 4 years. My neighbor recommended him to me. I was healed of my pain in the first session. I really thought it was normal to live with pain and people just go about their day ignoring it. I’m so glad I got treatment done by Dr. Chen! I haven’t felt this good in a long time! Will keep coming back to him as long as he’s practicing!
