I’ve been going here for a year learning how to cope with ptsd and anxiety. Chris and his team always have a smile on their faces and make me feel welcomed. I’ve been working with Elizabeth who has been a viable part of my progression to normalcy. Although the methods may be a little unique i highly recommend any vet with any ptsd, anxiety, or depression to come here you will see positive results.

I started going to AIM behavioral health as a community care provider for the VA. I started in January 2022 and had a therapist name Nicole. Everything was fine until they let her go and at that point I was assigned to Kris (Owner) for therapy sessions. He comes off with a know it all personality which I did not like. I didn’t feel that Kris listened to anything I had to say or was concerned about me. I finally left the practice in January 2023 after he told me that I needed to come in twice a week versus once a week because Medicare and the VA have cut down the times that he is allowed to bill out from 1 1/2 hours to 1 hour and he’s losing 40% of his profit. That is none of my business and was totally unprofessional of him to bring me into his personal business. The last couple months dealing with Kris caused me more anxiety and stress and I regressed. This is just one man’s opinion, speaking from experience.

Been out the military 6+ months and haven’t been to therapy in awhile and the VA sent me to this place cause I needed therapy as I was going while active. I pull up and on the phone with my mom telling her this building looks super shady, parking lot will tear up your car if you let it. Neither here or there. However, I go inside and before I walk in, I’m greeted by 2 huge dogs šŸ˜‘šŸ˜‘. First and foremost I have a phobia of dogs and past trauma with dogs. So I close the door as the dogs were about to approach me and I verbally said ā€œNOPEā€. Lady comes outside, ask what’s wrong I said I don’t do dogs, I have a fear ect. She looks at me like I just cussed out her mom and said I could put them up if you would like or return you to the VA. I said you can put them up that’s fine. She looks at me again like I cussed out her grandparents this time and said ā€œwell I told you we had dogsā€. I said no you didn’t, and she said she did. I’m like we’ve spoken 2-3x before this appt and only thing yall asked/told me was be there 1 hr early. She then said well I’ll just send it back to the VA. I said okay. I leave thinking y’all would rather lose out a client ā€œmoneyā€ then put a dog away šŸ˜‘šŸ˜‘ that’s really fumbling the bag. Before anyone judges imagine if you have a trauma about something and it gets placed in front of you. Now that’s how I felt in that moment and the lady dismissed it and lied talking about she told me about the dogs. Lastly ask yourself, would I take time to write all this with very much specifics if it weren’t true and she told me about the dogs. I literally gain nothing by trying to lie in this company. Just trying to help the next client because all the other one star review people can’t be lying.

Kris and his team are the best thing that has happened for me. Kris is ex-military and knows what experiences military members have faced. As a retired military member, I was struggling to deal with civilian life, past memories of combat related stress, and childhood abuse. Kris has shown me that I have the ability to take control and to deal with the emotions that were haunting me. At first I did not believe I was having trouble. However, after learning more about myself and how the human mind works; I identified issues and gained techniques to live a mentally healthy life.

Kris and Andrea, you guys are awesome. Keep up the great work!

They just care about the money and not the patience. They let go my therapy Nicole. Then Kris wife, lies and told me they have to see me twice a week. Because VA cut down the times that he is allowed to bill out from. Now he trying to recoup that money by schedule people twice a week. Scammer

I have been seeing Jocelyn for a few years now. Putting it simply, she helped guide me in a direction that has completely changed my life. I was struggling with anxiety, anger, and depression when I came in and I had come to accept that was who I was, and I wasn't going to be able to change. Standing here today I can tell you that I hardly know what the feeling of anger is anymore. As for my anxiety, I feel like I have taken its hand and we've learned to be best friends. And my depression...that's so far gone that I use the word "happy" to describe myself. It's a lot of work to be had, and its hard...It doesn't just happen because you show up to therapy every week. You have to be willing to put in the work and effort outside of the office. It's not easy, sometimes it feels like a rollercoaster, but it's definitely worth the ride because you get to walk away not carrying so much weight on your shoulders and you get to learn to see life more clearly. Thank you guys for everything. Thank you to everyone upfront making it run and being so welcoming and accommodating, and thank you Jocelyn for showing me what I'm capable of and pushing me to find who I am.

I hesitated to write this review, but after a few months of consideration, I cannot in good conscience allow my fellow veterans to seek therapy at A.I.M Behavioral Health without relaying my experience. I received therapy there for over 6 months before leaving and receiving therapy through another business. Although the owner/clinical director, Kris Vegvari, claims to be a veteran, in my opinion he has very little understanding of the military or veteran needs. His front office staff come across as unprofessional in appearance and attitude (I’ve seen them working in yoga pants and a tank top, and witnessed them treat the therapists with indifference and condescension). On one occasion, Mr Vegvari wanted to discuss my parking location with me. He called me into his very dimly lit small office, blocked the door, and proceeded to tell me where I was allowed to park around this public building. The conversation got heated, with Mr Vegvari becoming agitated and aggressive toward me. Furthermore, for me, the environment wasn’t conducive to productive therapy. The therapists’ offices were little more than decorated and furnished shipping crates, with poor ventilation and inadequate air conditioning. You can hear outside conversations, even with the ā€œwhite noise generatorsā€ turned on. This is by no means a poor review for the therapists working there, just the management and staff. I’m sure there will be an aggressive rebuttal from the staff to this 1-star review. This is merely my opinion and a reflection of my personal experience. If you want to seek therapy there, I urge you to visit, and form your own opinion. Every veteran deserves to be treated with dignity and respect and receive the absolute best possible therapy. For me, A.I.M. Behavioral Health didn’t meet that standard.

There is a reason I refer AIM to my family and friends, either a veteran or not. This place may have saved my life. I literally waited almost 20 yrs for help because of fear.. Kris and Andrea along with my INCREDIBLE therapist Nicole, held me accountable for myself and showed me how to cope and control my PTSD. Thank you AIM CREW!!
