Reached out for counseling in writing a business plan. Katherine responded promptly to schedule a telephone call. When we spoke, she was super knowledgeable and really paid attention while I gave her the details of my concept, vision and goals. We are currently working together on finalizing my plan. I recommend ASBDC for any individual starting, developing or growing a small business. Katherine Zobre was attentive, informative and extremely helpful with providing me my next steps with my unique, non-traditional veterinary consulting firm Assistance Animals Consulting. In just one meeting Katherine assisted me with developing a strategic plan, provided reputable references for small business attorneys and CPAs to name a few. I recommend that anyone starting a business calls this program first before they get overwhelmed.They provide so much more than I thought. They really gave me a leg up. I own a gourmet kettle corn company hence the name ... we play off of the sweet and salty flavor and wanted a name that stood out. We’ve been in business for 4 years. I recently was contacted by Katherine at the Alabama SBDC to discuss my business and it’s current operation as well as future plans and needs to accomplish those goals. I was thrilled to see how thoroughly she was listening when I received a detailed email recappinggnour conversation. She will be working with me on a one on one base and walking me through steps to prepare my company for lending. She ran a report on the health of my website and we have a litany of things to work through. This is a free service which if huge considering as a small business you have limited capital which makes it hard to pay a professional for every area of your business. This is a terrific stepping stone an doesn’t compare to even some top seminars I’ve paid for. I’m at excited about the growth that will stem from the involvement in this program. Thank you and I highly recommend any small business to take time to discover how this program can help further your business and prepare you for the next phases of your concept.
