I can’t express my gratitude for Align and their team enough. Quite frankly I was terrified to be away from home and in an unfamiliar place, but after my first week Align already felt like a family to me. I did extensive research on what treatment center to go into, but nothing felt right until I found them.. let’s just say it aligned perfectly.
The team here goes above and beyond to meet each clients needs, and really seems to understand the journey to recovery is a different process for each individual. In one short month I came to understand my addiction and myself on a level I never imagined, and felt loved comforted and supported the entire way. Thank you Align for giving me my confidence back, and all the tools needed to retain it.

Good day! This place had an amazing educational system on recovering from substance abuse. The counselors, groups, therapists, food and cleanliness of the facility were suburb! It may have 22 people at most but there are different group rooms too. I highly recommend it for a rehabilitation place to start your journey after a 30 to 60 or even 90 day program. This is the place to start your recovery. All ages. Thank you Align Recovery Sonoma!! Jacqueline M

This place is different!!!! You are not a number here. They truly care about your well being and their policies reflect that. Any rules or policies are human in nature and come from a good place to help you recover. They want you to be comfortable so you can work on yourself. As a result all of the residents get close, share, and create an amazing environment to get better. Do not look anywhere else!!!

A farewell to Align after my treatment there. If you or a loved one is experiencing the pain of addiction, this is the place for you:

As I stand here today, filled with a mix of emotions, I realize how far I've come. I am 32 days sober. I have not been sober this long since I was in my teenage years. I arrived here broken, uncertain, scared, with know idea how this place would change me. I didn't know what to expect or if I was even capable of change. But Align has been more than just a place to break old habits--it has been a place of reflection, growth, and rediscovery.

First, I want to acknowledge the staff here. Michael & Stella - you saved my life. If it wasn't for your compassion and mission of this facility, I have no idea where I would be. Your staffs dedication, compassion, and patience have made this journey possible. You all have guided me through my darkest moments and reminded me that hope always exists, even when I couldn't see it myself. Thank you for giving me the tools to rebuild my life.

To my fellow residents: We've walked this path together, through ups and downs, setbacks, and victories. You've become more than just faces in this program--you've become family and I love each and every one of you. We've shared our stories, our fears, our most personal secrets, our laughter, and our tears. I'm incredibly grateful for the strength we've drawn from each other, and I know that even though I'm leaving, the bonds we've built here won't fade.

This journey hasn't been easy. There were days when I wanted to give up, when it felt like the weight of my past was too heavy to carry. But here's what I've learned: Healing isn't about forgetting where you came from--it's about embracing the strength you've gained from surviving it. I've faced my demons, and while they haven't completely disappeared, I've learned how to manage them, to confront them, and most importantly, to live beyond them.

As I leave rehab, I know the road ahead won't be without challenges. But I'm walking out with hope, with resilience, and with a sense of purpose I didn't have before. I'm ready to face life with a clearer mind, a stronger heart, and a determination to keep moving forward--one day at a time.

To anyone still struggling, know this: You are stronger than you think. Every step forward, no matter how small, is progress. Keep fighting, keep believing in yourself, and never forget that you're worth it.

Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey with me. I'll carry your kindness, support, and encouragement with me always.

This isn't the end--just the beginning of a new chapter. I love you all.

Xoxo - Chuck

Long story. First I got there and was upset that the only caffeine you can have is coffee. The phones are restricted to 3x a day no matter what level you're on. I moved past this. Then, the air conditioning was RARELY on. It was so hot that it was hard to heal. Lizzette and I had issues, but we talked through it. It was always an issue with her though. Tatum was my fave person there. Then, before I was accepted into another program, they forced me to buy a plane ticket. Dana also told me some unkind words. I found out this morning that I had not been approved to go to the other program. Luckily, I'm stable enough from the wonderful Laguna Treatment Center that I was able to fix it. I called the airport. Got the ticket switched to go home. I then discussed this with my Lyft driver who made me feel safe and took me to get diet coke and see the golden gate bridge. God blessed me today. Just be careful when choosing a place because sometimes places start out nice then when they hear you wanna leave push you onto the street. This place definitely made me feel unsafe and as though they didn't care about my sobriety.

These are my comments on Align Recovery Center. I was recently hospitalized for my unhealthy behaviors. After weeks on searching, my family member stumbled upon Align. Located in a historic and large home, Align is the perfect place for a private treatment experience. I will highlight the facility from outside-in. The home is located just minutes from downtown Sonoma. Along with the home, comes a beautiful and very large backyard filled with trees, a gazebo, horseshoe pits, disc-gold nets, a fire-pit, a luscious garden maintained by residents and of course a smoking area with couches, tables and shade. Making your way inside, you will find to your right the medical wing. Also, you will find two extra offices for groups. In said wing are the nurse’s office, detoxification rooms, and access to all of the counselors workstations. The nursing team, and their superiors will work to find a detoxification schedule that works for you. Your medications will be administered by them, and they will always be there to help in emergent situations. To your left, you will find an expansive dining area, a pool table, as well as a piano with a large TV above it and a working table. Even more, there is a small resident-kitchen where there is access to 24/7 ice-water, a very large coffee brewer, as well as a microwave, cubbies and a fridge for resident use. In the dining area there is an elevator to the upstairs rooms, but there is also a staircase for quicker access. Upstairs, there is the men’s wing, the women's’ wing and the respective showering areas. Residents are most-often given a bedroom to their own with sinks, a vanity and storage for clothes and other belongings. Lodged between the two wings is the recreation room. There, residents participate in groups but it also acts as an exercise room. In that, you will find a large TV, a Peloton bike, yoga mats and other materials. Included upstairs is a small and organized library for resident use.
At Align, you will be fed three nutritious meals a day from the kitchen staff. Your day will be filled with recovery groups such as anger management, coping skills, conscious recovery, triggers, expressive-arts and more. The staff are friendly, but above all they are deeply concerned for residents’ well-beings. Did I mention that there is also a community dog - Savannah? At Align you will also go to off-site AA meetings weekly. Saturdays, there are other off-site activities like bowling, mini-golf and other recreational activities.
Most of all though, you will be surrounded by a kind community of staff and residents who will make you feel at-home.
Visits can be short if you just need to detox. Most people however stay for mental health treatment/cooccurring disorders. Other stays are usually around 30-60 days, but each person varies.
I came into Align and stayed for 30 days. I just got my one month chip. Align uses both medical and psychological care to help you get clean.
Dana, the executive director, is an extremely skilled therapist who also knows how to run the center so that residents have productive and busy days to keep your mind where it needs to be.
All the staff is wonderful. Thank you to Terri, Kat Jeremy, Lizzette, Stella, Michael, Dr. Popov, Dana and all of the other staff that help to keep Align a clean and functioning facility.
I would highly recommend finding treatment at Align. Before anything, Michael care about helping people in need, worrying about the finances when he needs to. (I am not suggesting that it is free, rather that the staff at first cares the most about getting you help)
I am incredibly grateful for my time at Align, they helped me to develop an appropriate exit-plan among all of the other things they did for me.
Align truly is the place to go. It surely stands out on a list of drug rehabilitation centers.
Thank you team Align, I will never forget the way you have shaped my life for the better.

Align was the fourth treatment center I attended in my life and they did everything possible to ensure it will be my last. I am writing this note four months removed from their facility and now have about five months of sobriety. Their curriculum was similar to what I experienced in the past but what set them apart was their team. David, Jeremy, Michael, Stella, and Tim really got down to the core issues for each of their clients and helped them turn away from their addictions toward a clean and sustainable lifestyle. They expressed care about our success, so much that they established a thorough after care plan for recovery. I thought the family therapy sessions were invaluable. The food was phenomenal. The building is beautiful and I enjoyed many walks on the grounds. It's no doubt that my longest period of sobriety is directly linked to their top notch program and personnel. I look forward to visiting when I'm in the area. Thank you Align.
