Roberta is nothing short of incredible! I have been working with her, receiving therapy for a little over three years now and during that time she has truly helped me through some very difficult life events. She is warm, attentive, kind, comforting and very experienced and knowledgeable. Roberta genuinely cares about her patients and strives to make a difference in the lives of others. I never thought I’d write a review like this. For years, I cycled through therapists, hoping to find someone who actually understood me. But every experience left me feeling more hopeless, like maybe therapy just wasn’t for me. That was until I found Roberta at Altha Mental Health, and everything has changed for me since.

Roberta is the first therapist who has made a real difference in my life. She just gets it. She doesn’t just throw generic advice at you—she actually listens and explains things in a way that makes sense. Her insights on my life are invaluable. I’ve learned more about myself in sessions with her than I have in years of therapy elsewhere. She introduced me to EMDR & past life regression therapy, something I had never even heard of before, and I honestly didn’t expect much from it. But it ended up being one of the most effective things I’ve ever done for processing past trauma.

I was also very against medication. I had a pretty awful history with psychiatrists, and the idea of going down that road again felt pointless and frankly terrifying. But after working with Roberta and the psychiatrist at Altha, my perspective completely changed. They didn’t just push medication on me; they actually took the time to explain things, answer my questions, and make sure I felt comfortable. And I have to admit—they were right. Getting on the right treatment plan has helped me in ways I didn’t think were possible. I feel like I finally have the mental clarity and stability to do the work I’ve always wanted to do on myself.

I won’t say therapy is easy or that there’s some magic fix for everything, but I can say that for the first time, I actually feel like I’m healing. My life isn’t perfect, but it’s better than it’s ever been.
If you’re feeling stuck, skeptical, or just exhausted from trying to find the right help, I get it. But honestly, Altha Mental Health and Roberta have been life-changing for me, and I can’t recommend them enough.
