In my 25 years of experience as a speech-language pathologist, I have not worked with a psychologist as intelligent, insightful, and ethical as Dr. Andersen. His knowledge of diagnostic criteria is expansive, and he takes the time to examine all aspects of a case in order to determine the best diagnosis. Dr. Andersen is a caring individual and highly principled professional who goes out of his way to build trust with clients and families. He consults with other providers -- including physicians, therapists, clinicians, and school special education teams -- to ensure all stakeholders' information informs his work. This care and thoroughness result in high-quality evaluations, which Dr. Andersen takes time to explain to the client's satisfaction.
When he works with children, Dr. Andersen makes sure parents are true partners throughout the assessment process. He understands the importance of observing a child in different settings to get the clearest picture of their strengths and needs, and he listens intently to families, teachers, and other caregivers.
In sum, I have the utmost respect for Dr. Andersen, and am proud of my association with his practice. He is an outstanding colleague and genuinely caring person who is committed to excellence. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking the best in psychological evaluation services.
