Argenta Counseling and Wellness (North Little Rock)

Customer service is great but I do feel like there are quite a few unnecessary mistakes when scheduling. I thoroughly love my therapist!

I went to this clinic last year and had a good experience with Jesse Hubbard and the front desk associate. I can’t recall his name but he was super sweet and genuine. I decided to take a step back and rejoin therapy again this month after taking a break. Complete opposite experience. The new desk associate Morgan never answers the phone and is not concerned with helping clients. She transferred me to Crystal after immediately cutting me off who answered the phone with an attitude and I immediately gave up and have decided to try another clinic. It’s sad because I was looking forward to meeting Star. I would have recommended them last year but unfortunately now I would say try anywhere else :(

For my first vist, I was late for an appointment, however I called to make sure I did not need to reschedule- I would have understood that. I was assured that I would still be able to be seen and should keep my appointment. When I arrived a lady came out of an office and said "you have paperwork to fill out and we aren't going to do this- I will cancel when you are late, you need to be on time"- all while in the lobby!!! Reluctant, I continued into the office with this lady and as she began to ask why I was there. I stopped her and said "who are you? you didn't even introduce yourself." The rest of the appointment did not get much better. He had a disgusted look on her face the entire time, and she did not hear me or attempt to address some of my questions. After I left I called to speak with her supervisor. I have made several attempts to speak with someone about Sydney's unprofessional actions. Noone called for 3 weeks, then the lady who called said she was Sydney's supervisor. I told her what happened and I knew when she started laughing that she was not a supervisor. I don't know who she was or what her credentials are, but come to find she is not Sydney's supervisor. when I asked again for her supervisor I was told that they see clients so that's why they haven't called me in 3 weeks.... Very unprofessional. I do not recommend.

Do not go here. I am a retired psych nurse. The screener did not make clear that NPs only do meds and counseling is a different practitioner. My PC can do meds. My clinician had 2 glade plug and and incense sticks and I am anaphylactic allergic. Even though I saw many empty rooms she said we can't move but could reschedule. I should have but unplugging the glade wouldn't help my allergy. I was having a bad reaction the entire visit minus my epi pen. After 40 minutes I determined she only did meds which I didn't need because I have a PC. Just don't go here. I hear it used to be good before the pandemic. Meds and therapy used to be the standard. Now it is double do so they can bill twice. Don't fall for it folks.

I love who I see. And the office staff (Dakota) did an amazing job helping me pick out some one perfect for my needs. My only critic is the first front office staff had my insurance info incorrect and when are called quoted me full OOP. I almost missed out on this place. But, again Dakota called me and got it figured out. The office staff can really make or break you in these situations.

Receptionist Jo is rude and offputting. I was hung up on by her once before. She seemed inconvenienced by having to look for available appointments that matched with my schedule. Everyone else I've dealt with seemed so nice and helpful. I was taken aback by her attitude.

I've been using Argenta Counseling for a couple of months now, and it's been a pleasant experience. They paired me with someone I work well with and always leave a session feeling calmer. The waiting room is a little weird, with no one at the window to check you in, and I understand how this may be off-putting to some. However, since the pandemic began, I've been to several doctor's offices utilizing a similar system and plan to keep that system going forward. I recommend giving Argenta Counseling a chance and have recommended their services to several family members and close friends.
