I am a fellow clinical psychologist and brought both my children to the elementary organizational skills-building group, parenting workshop, and individual therapy with Dr. Scott Herrmann. I have been absolutely pleased with the entire process, the office environment, Dr. Herrmann’s demeanor and skills, and the ease of scheduling. I have continually recommended his practice to others and I am so happy to have found this office!

I wasn't too happy about my 40 minute drive from Avondale, but it was worth the drive. Prior to scheduling for testing with Dr. Sia, she was on the phone with me for about 30 minutes, really trying to understand my 11 year old son. Pretty much she let me vent. Not once did I feel rushed nor judged. The testing process was quick, fun and simple. Office is very cozy, we felt very at home. Turn around time for results were faster than expected. Last but not least, she took an hour to go over the results and suggestions about how to move forward with my son's future. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to be heard and helped.

I brought my daughter here for some testing. Dr. Sia could not have been more accommodating or responsive. She has an excellent rapport with children, and she explained the procedures with me thoroughly. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone needing similar assistance. My daughter can be shy with strangers, but she was comfortable with Dr. Sia after a few minutes. That says a lot about her demeanor. The waiting room is comfortable, and there was ample parking. I drove all the way from Chandler, but it was more than worth it.

My daughter took a group workshop series entitled S’Mores and More that spanned over 4 classes to learn “Middle School Organizational Skills.” We are so pleased! She enjoyed the classes thoroughly, asked to take more classes, and she has developed organizational skills and a desire to be organized!

I am a clinical neuropsychologist, and based on suggestions from various other psychologists, I brought my daughter to Dr. Sia Sipsas-Herrmann for help with an insect phobia (particularly an intense fear of bees!). Dr. Sipsas-Herrmann used a variety of creative techniques to help my daughter feel more comfortable around bees, including gradually exposing her to actual bees in a safe way, and teaching her relaxation techniques. My daughter has loved her sessions with Dr. Sipsas-Herrmann, and to my amazement, she is no longer fearful of bees. I am so grateful for her help, and I will be referring many of my own clients to her in the future!!!

As a fellow clinical psychologist, I recognize the need to find a competent provider, and also someone I can trust and that will have discretion and maintain confidentiality. My husband and I were faced recently with needing help for our 6 year old son. It was a difficult situation and our hearts hurt that he was having trouble. We sought parental counseling from Dr. Herrmann in order to improve our parenting skills. We also wanted to get on the same page as parents working together. Our focus was positive parenting to address our son's attention and concentration problems and acting out at school and in our home. We are so grateful for the help we received. Dr. Herrmann's help greatly surpassed our hopes and expectations. We learned new skills and talked about differences in parenting styles to arrive at some common ways of handling problems and challenges. We left his office after treatment hopeful and feeling like we have a greatly enhanced set of skills, ideas and strategies to deal with our family challenges. He also tailored forms and reward systems to our specific family needs. We were able to bring these forms to our son's school, to partner in helping our son and to bridge the gap between school and home behaviors and problems. We are so grateful for Dr. Herrmann's empathy, care, expertise and practical teachings and support. We are so glad we chose him for help. Thank you so much Dr. Herrmann and AZ Child Psychology, PLLC.
