If you love your child please take them somewhere else. I encourage all parents who have had a negative encounter to file a complaint with the Alabama Board of Psychology so other children are not effected by the incompetency of this office.

Teresa is RUDE. They withhold mental health records of 5 year olds.

They told me that my son wasn't autistic and I found out he is.

They encouraged me to place him in school and I told him he was a danger to himself and others and he actually ran out the school building and ran into traffic.

Please take your child to the ER if you are in desperate need of care, preferably in Birmingham Children's. They will get you a crisis appointment medication and a real place to go.

This place does nothing.

If you want your child diagnosed properly, look for virtual testing with a place called as you are foud. them on Fb
They take medicaid no referral no co pay and private insurance 3 sessions close together and my son was diagnosed with autism
.I am so distressed because they said it was fine he didn't have ASD. He now has trauma.

Sunshine pediatrics in Auburn Also does evaluation and medication management.

This place telling me my son does not hav taking him to a reall doctor and being told he has a severe communication deficit and he is not behaving badly just because was heartbreaking. He almost got by a car on Fairview avenue at school. bev
Cause he went to school with no 504 or IEP.
I will post proof. Teresa is a liar, you can get your kids records under the age of 14.

Do not BOTHER contacting the Psychology Board- they do not care.

When my son was in an automobile accident; experiences memory issues our pediatrician recommend Associated Psychologist to us. One of their Therapist (Ms. Anna), was the best! She was always professional, supportive and friendly. The Owner, other Staff were just as welcoming this is a great place for services.?

This is the worst place both my autistic sons went to for services. Sure they did their evaluations, but the turn around for the actual written evaluation took MONTHS!!! The desk staff are very rude and the therapist, in my opinion, did not do anything for me or my sons. I feel like going to those appointments were just a waste of time. My recommendation, if you are referred here, ask to be referred somewhere else. If I could go back, I would have rather traveled to Birmingham to get my sons diagnosis. Oh and I still have not received the first evaluation for my autistic non-verbal son. I had to go to another therapy center months later because I kept getting the run around about my son's written evaluation. Currently still waiting on the written evaluation when my son's testing was back in April. SMH. Once I get this evaluation, I will never dial their number on my phone or drive my car in that parking lot.

Do not use this place for any service. I should have paid attention to the reviews. These people are incompetent. After being told my child would get a full report in 6 weeks,it took almost 8 months to be given one sheet of paper, not a full report. Because they decided they're just not doing full reports anymore. Mean while, my child's school wants a full report for him to receive service, and their response was, "well, that's all your're going to get". No care for their patients, and refuses to give me my child's records. Stear clear from this place.

Office manager refused to serve my daughter. She said that legally adoptive parents are not equal to biological parents and wanted to require proof of adoption or a birth certificate to treat but admitted that biological parents were not required to provide the same information. We are not talking about foster kids or a legal guardianship. This is a legal adoption completed years ago. This child has seen several different mental health specialists in both Alabama and Georgia and we've never been treated different than a biological family. Teresa also refused to let me speak with the doctor to discuss. Discrimination against adoptive parents should be illegal.

Had my daughter tested for autism here. Wish I had went somewhere else. The staff is rude and argumentative. Had my daughter tested in March of 2021, I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVE THE DIAGNOSTIC REPORT. (JULY 2023)

I was referred by our pediatrician to this office to begin preliminary testing for dyslexia. I Found from initial entrance and walking in through out the entire process this office is rude and incompetent. My daughter didn’t have a attention or discipline issue she had a specific area we were addressing yet they tried to determine she was ADHD. After sitting with them to go over their diagnosis or testing results I had to counter them with the facts and they looked stupid the entire time because they knew I was right. I addressed the fact my daughter who was only in Kindergarten was not ADHD anymore than the typical child in today’s technology filled world. That their testing was irrelevant at this point because she wasn’t even able to identify or understand certain instructions at this age and other examples as to how they just didn’t do what I brought her there for. I was told it would take a month or so to get her file typed up and sent to her school. I called today 5 months later and I was told that it hadn’t been done because the lady left the office and no ones done it since.

Front office staff again! Therapist was fine though not helpful really. Called with an emergency, but couldn't be seen until June. And the older lady on the other end SHAMES me. This is no way to handle someone going through a mental health emergency.
