Autism Academy for Education & Development West Valley Campus

Enrolled our daughter and after an interview and delivering all her paper work and applying for ESA we were told the Monday before school started on Thursday that they could not service our autistic daughter. We moved 3 hrs to be able to have our daughter attend this school. All we got was a list of other schools to try. So grateful we did not end up here because we found a better school with friendlier staff that made our daughter feel welcomed.

My wife and I feel very thankful, grateful, blessed, and at peace because of the Autism Academy. Our son has been enrolled in the Autism Academy since kindergarten and since day 1, we have always felt secure and assured of our son's education, care, safety, respect, and overall wellbeing. The staff, from the top, and all around, LISTEN. Even though you may not think everyone does, they have shown me that they in fact do. I wasn't sure if we could keep our son enrolled there due to personal reasons, and The Autism Academy staff and leaders did in fact listen, and hear my concerns and took it upon themselves to HELP. My son loves his school, his teachers, all of the Paras, and his friends. Obviously, everyone will have different views or opinions on schools, but to us, this is more than just a school, it's a family/ community of people who respect your special needs child and treats them like their own. Thank you very much Autism Academy. I wish for your continued success and growth.

We are very happy with the school. My son is making friends and he really enjoys going to AAED. The teachers, principal & staff are all very professional and they really care about our kids. I get a daily sheet on what my son did for the day, what his mood was like and so on. The only downside is it takes me close to 40 minutes to take him to school. I work from home so that's over 10 hours a week just in driving. We bought a new house (because I hate commuting long distances!) that was 10 minutes from the location AAED said the new school would be but they changed the location from Peoria to Phoenix (after we bought the new house) turning our 10 minute (20 min round trip 2x a day) commute to a 40 minute (1 hr 10min round trip 2 x a day) Grrrrrrr! Other than that it's a great school

The Autism Academy has the ability to be a 5 star(+) specialized educational facility. The building it is housed in is the only thing holding it back. The 2nd floor is only accessible by stairs. This would make it difficult to impossible for students, faculty, parents, or anyone else with an exceptional need to travel between floors. It would be ideal for a ownership with renovations or newly built to specialty. We all know this takes money......I hope someone reads this that can help.....you never know what love and prayers can do.

So far this is an amazing school and my son enjoys himself and is happy to go to school and learn. He also loves to come home and share which has never happened before. So as a parent very pleased.

AAED has been a wonderful gift for my son. The difference I have seen in my son has been remarkable and the staff is so helpful and caring. I look forward to seeing what the next couple of years brings.

They do not have a school nurse,they let teaches who are not medical professionals diagnose children with false symptoms and do not let them return to school even with a doctors note ,the staff is rude and unprofessional.

It's our first year here and so far so good. I'm still a little nervous but I do still believe we made the best choice for our little one.
