AZ Aspire Academy

All I can say is my daughter and I love this school! My child has come so far since attending AZ Aspire. I love the fact that the staff will call me about positive behavior my child displays instead of only calling when my child misbehaves. The staff is compassionate, loving, and absolutely caring. Ms. Sonia is the best! Thank you AZ Aspire!

I’m quite confused by some of the negative comments made. My child was extremely difficult to work with the entire first year and has completely turned around the second year thanks to Sonia and her Tempe staff. She hand picked the teachers according to our needs and the fragile state of mind we arrived in. Other private schools shied away because we didn’t have the “happy go lucky” child on the spectrum. Trauma sucks and can alter someone. The F bomb expulsion someone wrote about sounds out of character for this particular school. My child dropped many and was not kicked out once, rather they worked with us for an entire year to straighten the behavior, and worked with our therapist to make sure we were all on the same page. They have an afternoon program specifically dedicated to kids working through behavioral issues. Maybe this was not an option 3 years ago. They do now. This school didn’t fail us, nor did they let my child slip through the cracks (unlike previous schools). Sonia placed us in the great hands of Claudia, Bill, Brandon, and the amazing Amber. The 1:1 ratio has proven true for us and is working well - knock on wood! :)

My son was abused in the public school system. His anxiety was off the charts. He eloped from public school and was found 1/4 mi. off of campus (by a kind stranger). He had been placed in a "calm down" closet repeatedly for his behavior which in turn drove his behaviors. He never really recovered mentally from that experience. AZ Aspire has taken the distrust out of his world, he is interacting with typical peers which is huge for us as Autism parents. He has minor behavioral issues but he had improved so much at home as well. This program has saved my son's life- literally.

I'm a student here at AZ Aspire, I just started a couple months ago. I'll be honest, I didn't like it at first being around the same people everyday for five days straight! But now I'm so happy that I gave it a shot, we are like a family here we help one another, make sure everyone one feels safe and secure. Words can't explain how amazing this private school really is. I recommend you stoping by if your looking for a great school with understanding teachers and incredible students. Cause here at AZ Aspire, we inspire!

This review pertains to the Tucson campus. Our experience with this new avenue of education has been nothing but positive thus far. While the school is new to Tucson the campus director has demonstrated seasoned, effective skills in personally connecting with and supporting students with various learning styles and needs. Flexibility, creativity, sensitivity, a welcoming of new ideas, appropriate academic challenge, and a safe structure for the exploration of effective social skills are qualities built into the daily schedule for all students. We are excited to be a part of a new school that shows such promise of providing a quality education for students who thrive in small settings.

I'm not a fan of any school who kicks out children with special needs. My nephew was kicked out of here. Those other people who complained are dead on. This school promises compassion and understanding. They should add "but only for kids who can function the way average kids do, regardless of autism, ADD, or anxiety." I believe the teachers here try their best. But I don't believe a word that comes out of Sonia's mouth. She's in it for the money.

The best thing that ever happened to us. AZ Aspire has been such a blessing for my two teenage boys. The one to one attention while each boy worked at their own pace was invaluable. The entire staff showed compassion and understanding every day.

AZ Aspire Academy is a fantastic school that truly cares about the students and staff. I love being a teacher here. I have seen the opportunities provided to each student, that has enabled them to succeed and flourish!
