We got my girlfriend here after an alcohol relapse due to the root cause of deep trauma based psychological and emotional problems. Azure Acres has a decent staff in terms of nurses and those who interact directly with patients, with some being shallow and clearly overworked and others being kind and forthcoming despite the conditions there. This facility is primarily for drug addiction recovery and despite claiming to be genuinely suited to deal with mental health issues also, they are at the base level of care when it comes to this crucial part of the dynamic.

The main reasons for my two star review are that the buildings where patients stay are 60, 80 even 100 years old, and that there are deceptive people at the very least in charge of the facility, and perhaps some that are lying who work the phones. The buildings have a visible mold presence in some rooms, which means that the entirety of the building is substantially contaminated, and if you have an allergy or aversion to something like mold, you will go through hell here on both a physical and probably mental level as well. Patients there complained that they also felt side effects despite not having a known allergy. They have a newer building that is far less likely to have this kind of issue, but this is where the deception comes in. We were GUARANTEED that my girlfriend would have a room there in the new building for her because we made it abundantly clear that she has this mold allergy. And as it turns out, as told to us by one of the kinder nurses, they have had consistent difficulties with insurance companies covering residential stays in that new building. This was obviously known by at very least the higher ups in the company, and perhaps also by other employees that made such promises, considering this simple nurse knew what was going on. This is evidence that you will be LIED to about something in order to get you or your loved one to be admitted, and that is NEVER okay, especially when physical/mental health and finances are at stake. The positives of the facility which include a fairly strong community of a small number of patients, an overall adequate day to day staff and a beautiful outdoor environment, is overshadowed by what i have described here as well as very limited food options for those with allergies and aversions, difficulties with being able to acquire/take certain supplements and other helpful products and a clear lack of funding and staff. It is not the absolute worst place by any stretch to send yourself or someone you love that needs immediate addiction treatment m and recovery, but there are places that are far better even just for this purpose, and especially if you seek to treat the underlying root mental/emotional causes of addiction. The clear deception at some level and the condition of the buildings/staff situation completely negates most of the positives. Sad.

She was there for 10 days, we tried to get her out sooner but complications arose and she really suffered pretty major physical and mental consequences as a result of being in these buildings for that long. So again I warn you about this especially if you have a history of bad experiences with mold or older buildings, and i also warn that there will be lies told/false promises given at some level.

I'm Kurt Duncan from paradise, ca and thanks to Azure acres I'm a recovering addict. Today i have 31 days clean. Might not seem like alot of time, but if you ever tried to get clean. You'll know that it is! It's a miracle! Calling Azure Acres was one of the hardest, and best thing I've ever done in my life. As soon as they picked up the phone ( second ring) I felt a weight lift off my chest. I knew from that moment, i wasn't alone anymore. When I showed up, I was greeted with open arms, like family. Everyone everyday was so nice, and happy. It made my stay there easier, and everyday got better and better. The clients were all happy, with a glow about them I can't explain, magical. I'd like to mention everyone by name but there's way to many. But Brad your the bomb! We clicked the moment we met, and that was Hugh for me. And a special thanks to Cassy. Without her and her counseling I would still be lost, she knows what she is doing. The whole staff is very skilled and professional. Thr house's are very clean, and I can't say enough about the food. The cook can cook! And also cares about us addicts. I would recommend Azure Acres above any other treatment center. Definitely a 5 star+ outfit. Thank you Azure Acres for being a big part of my recovery. TO THE HOUSE! TO THE STAFF! TO RECOVERY!

I transfered here from an excellent program on the east coast. Hate to say it but they need serious help. I left the program because they were unable to confirm my insurance prior to my arrival, actually never did. They had one person on staff at the PHP and IOP program. Good idea giving a bunch of addicts with no structure. Living arrangements are not what they show.

Azure Acres supported me, showed me such a high degree of compassion and respect. The Intake Coordinator, Angie Christensen, made the intake process so comfortable and easy and I was picked up on my door step by Azure transportation and in their program the very next day.
Upon arrival I felt the genuine care that sincerely touched my heart. I was very well care for medically and with a human touch through the dreaded detox process. The over-all recovery program is top notch. They helped me discover “WHY” I relapsed and helped me re-sharpen my tools so I can recognize before it happens, and fully equipped to conquer it beforehand so it never happens again.
All the BHA staff were great. The case managers, counselors, group facilitators, and therapist were all awesome people and great at what they do.
Brad and Tiffany are GREAT! I witnessed Brad and Tiffany, on more than one occasion, driven by genuine care and concern, go way above and beyond to GET IT DONE!
I was so impressed and heartfelt by the people, program and mission of the Azure Family that when I regain the require amount of sobriety, I plan on sending them my resume. You hold a place in my heart. To the house, to the staff…THANK YOU!!!

This place is amazing! They did so much for me above and beyond what they had too . I can honestly say I'm sober currently because of them and the people at there facility. I was so comfortable and treated so well by everyone staff and other residents alike . I was honestly so sad to leave but even then I went to there SLE/IOP program at Burnside and they too were amazing . If your serious about getting better and your recovery this is the place you want to go . Thank you so much

I just wanted to thank the Azure Acres staff as a whole, for providing me with the treatment, counseling, and guidance I so desperately needed, at the time I needed it most. My experience at both Azure Acres and Avalon has been a life changing experience. Although I faced a few challenges through the duration of my treatment, staff members like Brad,
Dr. B, Janice, Jaime, and Jason helped guide me towards a solution through whatever I was facing. I went from being broken without hope when I arrived, to becoming full of life with hope of a new way of living when I departed.

In a time of immeasurable stress, confusion, uncertainty and heightened emotions; Azure Acres was there to accept a loved one into their facility the very next day.

Monica greeted us upon our arrival and reassured us with kindness, grace and a beautiful smile. I made several calls in to her to check on the patient and she always was upfront and honest. Detox is not always pretty, but she highlighted the positive aspects and reassured me that things were progressing normally.

Throughout the last several weeks, they've truly saved our loved ones life and given him a second chance. I have complete faith, trust and confidence in what their program offers. They've answered my questions every step of the way, even if I've asked them twice because I just needed reassurance.

Brad is experienced, knowledgeable and has unwavering eternal optimism for his patients and their road to recovery. He knows how to jump through the dreaded insurance "rings of fire." I feel he was honest with every question I asked. He has his patient's best interests at heart.

The work that you do is so important for all of society. These are human beings that lost their way for one reason or another. You've provided a safe, stable, medically overseen and structured environment for patients to get back on their feet.

Azure Acres restored my life. I was at the end of my road, marriage, health and relationships with my kids and grandkids were failing. I researched many rehabilitation options and chose this one as my insurance was a better fit financially. I was lucky for this. I don’t think I could have to gone to a better place to achieve my sobriety, and regain my health and relationships. The program provided one on one therapy sessions, group therapy sessions, counseling and awesome feedback from the counselors, nurses, cooks and even the housekeepers and maintenance staff. The place is situated in a secluded serene area. My only knock on the place is the website states there is a gym and hiking trails. This is misleading, there are a few dumb bells and a path to the creek. Overall as far as the end goal to help me get my addiction under control and my life back it is top notch. There are amenities and the food is good. I stayed an additional two weeks for six total as I needed more therapy, in my opinion. After care was a continuation of the excellent program. I truly believe everyone working there cares about the recovery of the individual. If your looking for help with recovery I highly recommend you contact Azure Acres.
