I was diagnosed with a slap tear in my shoulder and began PT as I didn’t want to go the surgery route. I worked closely with Brian for PT. We started slow and gradually increased the intensity. I used to think of PT as only working the injured part but Brian put me through full workout circuits to incorporate all aspects of my shoulder and supporting muscles. He used mixed modalities to keep the workouts engaging. Wed start in the PT room then move out to the gym so I could get an actual workout in while increasing shoulder strength.
I used PT for rehab after a bicep surgery, if I had known Brian prior I don’t think I would have opted for the surgery.
10/10 recommend.

BARWIS is truly the best and I’m so thankful to have recovered from my hip surgery here! Brian specifically made every PT visit fun and was careful to create a PT plan specific to my dance needs. I was able to recover so much faster than expected due to his diligence to seeing me improve. Going back to dance was so much easier because of the sport specific training received while in PT.

All the PTs at Barwis are so kind and encouraging. It is clear that they truly care for all the patients. They create such a fun environment to be in which is so helpful for those struggling with their recoveries. I’ve been to many PT clinics and no place compares to this one. I highly recommend Barwis and Brian to anyone needing any PT needs!

Best experience here with my son, we originally were at other PT places but they did not understand gymnasts. Katie was absolutely amazing with my son's back injury and took him from 'hes missing his first competition' to 'he competed in 5 out of 6 events!!!'. She understood gymnasts needs in therapy and helped get him back to where he wanted to be without pain! We are forever grateful for Katie and the miracle work she did...and also adding how great she was with a 10 year old boy and getting him to properly do exercises 🙃 we will never ever go anywhere else if(when) my gymnasts need PT in the future. If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would.

I can’t say enough good things about the Barwis team from the front desk to the physical therapists. They all are excellent, professional, patient, friendly and knowledgeable. I had my sessions predominantly with Maddie and Katy. To me, they are the gold standard. 5 Stars!!!

Fantastic facility. But any facility is only as good as the people you work with when you're talking about performance and or physical therapy. For me I first started physical therapy late May '24. Just finished up yesterday. My P.T. was Maddie Wnuk. In every way Maddie was a perfect fit for me. She understood that even though I recently turned 70 years of age, I have always had the mentality of an athlete, having played collegiately and pro. I had been through 8 knee surgeries (6 on the R and 2 on the L) prior to surgery #7 on the right knee for a total knee replacement. Maddie coached and encouraged me to reach the lofty goals I had set for myself. Creating new and different challenges she addressed all the needs for flexibility, strength, and balance. Maddie also knew she was working with a patient highly demanding and critical of himself (me...lol) and she both fed my need for challenges and consistently provided coaching to the movement and support. When the exercises were beating me down from fatigue, and therefore I beat myself up for not meeting the challenge, Maddie would remind me how well I was doing and then once ready she demanded excellent form to achieve the goals. I also recommended Maddie to a friend who was in need of physical therapy. He was so very impressed with Maddie's knowledge of his injuries and appreciated her encouragement to help him improve his physical performance. All in all whether with Maddie, or watching her colleagues the Barwis Physical Therapy and Performance Center is the finest facility I have experienced in the area. And I would HIGHLY recommend it if you're serious about achieving your goals.

I was fortunate to have been a client of Dr. Maddie Wnuk from January through this week. She is a skilled physical therapist who helped me overcome debilitating back pain that made standing for more than 2-5 minutes unbearable. I am now able to regularly walk more than a mile. She then successfully treated me for a severe bout of vertigo and subsequent disequilibrium.

Thoughout my care, she communicated a genuine sense of caring while offering a clear understanding of my issues. I am grateful to her and would recommend Dr. Wnuk to anyone who asks for a top flight physical therapist.
