After taking my primary care’s advice and switching my mental health Dr to one at BayCare I can honestly say I wish I hadn’t. When I called to be placed with a provider the call center paired me with a facility almost 20miles away from me when there is one not 5miles up the road.

When I am at my appointment the facility treats me like I am a criminal and makes me jump through hoops just to have my medications refilled.

When trying to reschedule my next appointment I requested a tele-health visit since the facility is 20 miles away. The person on the phone relays that I will need to wait for the Dr/ARNP to approve. When I get a notification about my visit I call back. I am now told I need to wait till tomorrow to call back and confirm. If not then I will have to cancel and reschedule outside of the cancellation period.

For a facility that is supposed to help support those with mental illness it only promotes anxiety and stress when having to schedule appointments with all of their rules and procedures.

AVOID LATIERE WALLACE!!! Horrible provider with zero empathy, no logic to her explanations and wants to throw her credentials at you when she realizes she makes zero sense. They will tell you they have no time for you and she will specifically hang up on you when she's done with the conversation. DO NOT RECOMMEND especially if you need mental health help. For a professional in mental health, so sure knows how to create mental health issues in others.

I have been a patient for about a year now. Today is the end of that. Amy in the medication department is the most unprofessional Baycare employee I have ever dealt with. She is very confrontational and aggressive. I called to get my meds refilled and she accused me of doctor shopping when in reality my prescription had been refilled by their office just a different provider because they couldn't get me an appointment until August. I then tell her that I need a medication refill and she says I will have to wait a week to get an appointment. Then she looks again and says I can be seen in two days. I said sure. I expressed to her that I was upset over this and I would be seeking another provider elsewhere after this appointment. She then rescinded the offer to give me an appointment became very aggressive and loud. I told her this was unprofessional and she was the rudest person I have ever dealt with at Baycare. SHE HUNG UP ON ME!!! I cannot believe that she is still employed here when there are other complaints about her right here on google. Clearly she needs to find another job and not work with people who have anxiety already and then she adds to it by being aggressive, snarky, rude, and inconsiderate. I will not be returning and I wouldn't even recommend this office to my worst enemy.

I used to visit this facility for psychiatric care. I called in to restart that service and was told there weren't available appointments until January. This is a facility caring for people when mental health diagnoses, a months long wait to get back on necessary medications is absolutely ridiculous. I am failing to understand how they can say they care about people's mental health and wellbeing when they are making them wait so long to be treated. My diagnoses may not kill me like a different sickness would, but they certainly make it more difficult than most to live day to day, and it shouldn't take literal months of waiting to get help from a doctor for it.

Laura Hardy was extremely rude to me after I told her I was very depressed and suicidal. She asked me what meds I was on. I told her antidepressants, mood stabilizers and when I told her I was on 1mg, ( as needed)of klonopin, she interrupts me and says I don't give out klonopin. Miss Hardy said I needed to go to detox. I haven't even been on Klonopin for over a month. She was very rude, nasty and unprofessional. No wonder Bay Care has such a bad reputation. Hardy cut me off and told me to see a different doctor while I was on the verge of a breakdown. I think She is just a nurse practitioner with some sort of glorified psychology schooling. She also told me that the receptionist ( who scheduled our appointment ), didn't know what she what she was doing when the receptionist scheduled our phone appointment. The receptionist is a very sweet lady and did not deserve Laura Hardy's false accusations. Laura Hardy didn't even have my chart with her during our phone meeting.

Do not bring your children here. Poor communication. You never get clear answers over the phone. They never document the accounts when you call in. I was called a liar today for simply explaining what a representative told me over the phone. You get transferred around to leave voicemails that no on calls you back about.

I see Jessica Faber APRN at the Dade City location and honestly I wish I could rate over 5 stars. Jessica has made me feel more secure and understanding of things I feel and she really understands what I say to her with no judgment. Also Maaleka is awesome and so nice when I call; it’s nice to have a calming voice on the phone when I’m feeling low and just need to check in. They’ve helped so much already and I’ve only been seen a couple of times they are the best!
