In May 2021 I was diagnosed with rotoscoliosis. But neither my spine doctor nor my physical therapist could offer any treatment for the condition. So I did some research and found the Schroth Method and Beatriz Torres, who offered immediately to help me.
In the space of four months Beatriz taught me about the Schroth Method and critical postural changes which provided rapid improvement. I also had numerous other back issues and a pelvis issue which Beatriz incorporated into my treatment plan. This overall treatment changed my quality of life to the fullest. I no longer had pain in my left hip or left SI joint and began to feel safe in my body again. I also became stronger and able to do things that I had been too weak to do before. She really gave me my life back.
Beatriz is extremely knowledgeable and patient. I was not the easiest person to teach yet she was able to penetrate my stubborn head! I am highly indebted to Beatriz and would recommend her to anyone.

It was a great pleasure working with Beatriz. Having tried several other treatment methods before, I've found Schroth to be the most helpful and targeted therapy for scoliosis. Beatriz's decades of experience as a physical therapist in addition to her personal experience with scoliosis make her an excellent teacher. A huge part of scoliosis therapy is about self-education--learning more about the imbalances in my own body and how to maintain in correction during every day activities. At the end of my two week sessions with her, I've come away with a clearer understanding of my own body, a tool kit of scoliosis-specific stretches and exercises to do every day, and most importantly, confidence that in spite of this condition, I can still live a full life and avoid disability when I get older.

I am an orthotist who specializes in scoliosis and spinal deformity. An orthotist is someone who evaluates for and provides braces (orthoses), and I specialize in bracing adults and pediatrics for scoliosis. Although I am not a physical therapist, I believe (and research has shown) that scoliosis specific physical therapy combined with bracing provide better outcomes for patients than bracing alone (although there is little research to show this, I have personally witnessed this.) Although Beatriz teaches a full course about Schroth Best Practice to PT's, she was gracious enough to offer me a modified version to better understand the deformity and hopefully be able to provide better information and guidance to my patients. I 200% feel that Beatriz provided me with these tools and such a better understanding (and more questions haha) of scoliosis from a 2 day course. She is extremely knowledgeable about scoliosis and spinal deformity and really gets into every last detail. My only complaint is that she lives 2 hours away from me which makes it difficult for me to refer my patents to her! However, I feel very fortunate that I found her in searching for Schroth PT's and know that she is only an email away from answering my continued questions. I look forward to working with her in the future. If you have spinal deformity and pain/weakness as a result, I would highly recommend working with Beatriz.

This person has no doctoral degree and does not know why she is doing. My conditioned did not improve at all after the sessions. Most of the session there is wasted taking notes. She charges a hefty 200 and is just a greedy person. Don't come if you want to improve your back pain.

My daughter had neck and shoulder pain due to her scoliosis. Getting through the day was difficult for her. We were at wits end until we found Beatriz! By the fourth treatment of the Schroth method, her pain was gone. What impressed me most was that her exercises were simple to follow and incorporated into daily life. In this way, my kid was able to do the exercises at school and home many times in a day. After about three months, her doctor measured her scoliosis and found that it has improved significantly.

Beatriz works through the fundamentals when working with her patients. As a person with mild lumbar scoliosis I have seen many physical therapists, chiropractors and sports doctors over the years to help me with my running and the odd feeling of feeling stronger on one side versus another. Beatriz was the first PT who started with the basics and made me feel the difference using posture correction and changes in how we do ADL ( activities of daily living). The experience for me has been life changing to say the least. I am now able to do a lot more things that I used to struggle with before. All of this progress within weeks of seeing her is incredible. Kudos to her patience, her methodology and most importantly the immense care she shows for everyone who reaches out to her.

I went to see Beatriz Torres for about 1 1/2 years and finished my session two years ago. I was in my late 60s - my spinal curvature and pain were getting progressively worse to the point where I was in pain most of the day. Ms. Torres taught me exercises and postural awareness that I gradually learned to incorporate into my daily routine. I am able to use what she taught me throughout the day and the benefits continue to improve as I more consistently use the principles she taught me. I am extremely grateful for having found her and highly recommend her PT services to anyone who suffers from scoliosis.

Terrible bedside manner; she uses shame as "motivation." She even double-billed me and the insurance company. Charged me by the hour for showing me the Google campus, even though she offered! Insurance company made her pay me back the full amount. I am surprised she is still in business.
