We have sent 2 of our children to Ben Gamla Kendall and have been very happy with the outcome. My older daughter is now in a larger public school where she can take foreign language and other electives. Ben Gamla prepared her for 4 years both academically and socially for this experience. When she transferred she found she was ahead of her class and as such has consistently been a member of the national honor society each year since. I contribute her being prepared to her wonderful teachers she had at Ben Gamla.

My younger son is in his second year now and has also had fantastic teachers. They are innovative, compassionate, patient, and find unique ways to keep the kids motivated to learn and participate. My son has been a challenge at times but the school has always been helpful and great communicators so we can work together solving challenges. They even spend time teaching the kids conscious discipline to ensure that they reinforce the importance of doing things because it's the right thing to do. that's important for me because I have always told my kids, we are all flawed but focus on doing the next right thing.

Lastly, we have been very pleased with the smaller and focused class sizes. I would recommend Ben Gamla Kendall without any hesitation.

I have 3 little girls that attend the school Ben Gamla Kendall school and I have nothing but, wonderful things to say about the school. Before Ben Gamla my daughters attended a school were they weren't happy at all. My daughters cried and asked not to go back. My husband and I decided to change them from school. So, we as a family started to search for a school were my kids were going to be happy and also, have teachers that were going to motivate them to do great in school. When we came in as a family we all felt like this was the perfect school for them. When my daughters started coming to Ben Gamla they were so happy because they stated the teachers and students are so nice and they loved the way there teacher's taught the class. I felt good because seeing my kids smiling and always looking forward for school. Made me feel good because I made the right decision in putting them here. Every day my kids come home with a smile and always looking forward to doing there homework. My 3 kids are always telling me how awesome there teachers are and the school staff too. This is a school were the teachers treat the kids with respect and motivate them to do awesome in everything they do. My kids love this school and so I.

The school has been a blessing. The teachers have been amazing and both my daughters are very happy with the school. The environment is fantastic. The principal is super involved and goes above and beyond to ensure the total well being of the children . I have really been too happy here . This has been our first year and we love it . They also have a school counselor who is truly excellent. If the child needs someone to talk to the counselor has helped my daughter a lot with some of the emotional issues that she was going through . Both my daughters flourished .

This is a great public school with a private school feeling. The teachers are caring and have so much experience when working with their students. The principal, Dr.Berman cares so much about the school, students, the staff and it's future. The communication between the school and the parents is outstanding this year. I've been kept informed regarding EVERYTHING that concerns my daughters. After having my children in this school for the last six years, I would highly recommend it. A+ school year after year.

I am very pleased with my decision to send my daughter to Ben Gamla Kendall. It is a public charter school with a private school atmosphere. The director, Dr. Berman, truly cares about the school and the students. There is a no bullying policy that is strictly enforced and the children are kind and respectful to each other because of it. For example, Dr, Berman immediately hired a counselor to come in once a week, to address something that happened between a few fourth grade girls. It has made a tremendous difference. Academically, Ben Gamla Kendall is excellent. The fourth grade teachers are wonderful this year, as they were last year. My daughter has learned how to write essays and her reading comprehension and math skills have improved. Her love of learning has also continued to grow. Also, the PTO is amazing. Anna, the president of the PTO has gone above and beyond to make sure our school community stays close and active, and we continue to raise money for the school. I highly recommend this school! Go Lions!

This is our Son's 2nd year attending Ben Gamla Kendall; and we are very happy and grateful we found the school last year when we decided to move to Miami. The whole staff is great, the teachers and Dr. Berman, the Principal are very nurturing and they really care about the students not only about their academics grades, but also their well being and safety, which is a very important aspect these days. Since our son was attending private school before, we were worried about his transition to the public school system, but it was a breeze for him, they are a charter school and we can say by experience that BGK is much better than any private school and it's free :).
We love BGK and we can't wait for our little one to start attending.

My granddaughter started school here at Ben Gamla the end of last school year. From the first day, she felt safe and welcomed. Her teacher worked with her mom to help her transition into the classroom. The students made her feel welcomed and she came home the first day saying she had friends. The culture of the school feels like family.

I never write a review but I felt that this school most definitely needed a positive recognition! I have 2 daughters that started Ben Gamla this year. I was extremely nervous because I had switched my oldest from one Charter school to another and let's just say my youngest who started kindergarten is not easy! This school has brought out an educational drive in my daughters that I didn't think was possible at this age! My oldest was a bit hesitant in her reading skills and she is now above her level and it was because her teacher never made her feel inferior. On the contrary.. She made my daughter want to read EVERYDAY!!!! My kindergartner started rough! If it wasn't for the Love and patience that her teacher had with her we would not have had 4 HONOR ROLLS (both my daughters) under their belts!! For the parents that are thinking of this school as a possibility for their child ... YOU MUST! I understand that parents might be just looking for a "Jewish" school but like the other parent wrote.. It is most definitely a HEBREW CHARTER SCHOOL that influences our children's mind on the back round of Israel and their culture that I feel it is a great learning experience for my daughters. We want our children to be well rounded adults when they grow up and this school is most definitely a GREAT STARTING POINT!!!!! Dr. Binder and Mr.Baca are a great team for this school! - The keys to Success!
