I have been going to Better Beginnings for a few years now. I have never had a bad experience and have nothing negative to say. The admin staff has always been kind and helpful and the therapists have been wonderful and helpful. Angela D. Is fantastic and has helped me through so much. I definitely recommend Better Beginnings.

The receptionist Cathy was absolutely phenomenal, she went above and beyond to help me and answer all my questions.
The providers themselves were caring and always gave lots of resources with every appointment. They provided excellent mental health help to me, and they were understanding about my needs.

Definitely agree with the predatory scheduling practices. I tried calling yesterday (Monday) around 10 am to reschedule my appt for Wednesday early evening. Even though it was MORE THAN 48 HRS I was told I would be charged unless I rescheduled it for the same week?!! The woman who answers the phone is never nice, friendly, or helpful.
They send their reminder emails after you're INSIDE the 48-hour window.
You can't do any scheduling online - not even thru email -- but apparently "I should've left a voicemail" over the weekend? Cool. 1994, not 2024 I guess? -- Also, I definitely am more comfortable emailing a medical appt request than leaving it on some answering machine.
I adore my provider, and would absolutely recommend her, but this practice has been nothing but issues since they took over Better Connections. The only reason I've kept going here is that I like seeing her. However, I can't afford to keep going to UNNECESSARY appointments & have no interest in going somewhere that clearly only cares about money.

ETA:: I missed the fact that she emailed me the cancellation policy to sign (again) after we got off the phone! As in the cancellation policy that shows I DID CALL within the correct time & I was the one following the rules.

I received a call from the same woman after leaving this review, who said my cancellation fee would be 'waived' --
1) I hadn't canceled my appt because of the ridiculous no-show fee 2) I called OUTSIDE of the 48-hour window. When I pointed out I had called around 10:30 am, which would be more like 52 hrs, she said "Actually it was 8:30" -- OKAY even better! That means 54 hours! Sooo I was even further away from 48 hrs!
This was *NOT* doing me a favor -- this was only honoring the cancellation policy they tout around (and passively aggressively email after claiming someone can't cancel an appointment like they are some idiot child). I don't need to read & sign the form again -- the person you have representing your business needs to.

I guess the owner implemented a new rule that you have to retest for ADHD if you want their services regarding ADHD. As if the tests diagnosing me with ADHD from a previous accredited provider suddenly become erroneous and/or moot. I would have loved to have been told this BEFORE I did all of the scheduling and insurance stuff and questionaires.

This place is the reason why people can't get the help they need. No one can pay for the same test over and over and over again.

I have felt so fortunate to meet Jessica at a virtual Mommy’s group, which led me to utilizing several great resources at Better Beginnings. I have been so happy with the care I’ve received, and the owner, Lauren, has taken the time to email and talk to me on the phone about all of the different options. I’ve felt no pressure, and my therapist Renee is amazing! Thank you Better beginnings. There is a lot of stigma related to seeking help for postpartum mental health, but places like this, tailored to support new Mommas, has made a huge positive impact on me and has confirmed that it’s been the right decision reaching out.

I don't know what I would do without these people. After a VERY stressful first part of my pregnancy, I was convinced I would never find doctors that truly understood the unique and delicate combination of tackling mental health issues during pregnancy. I am very thankful to have found Better Beginnings, who have made me feel comfortable and supported since my first appointment. I highly recommend them! (Yvette is the BEST!)

Office girls were extremely sweet and welcoming. When I called better beginnings i was in a very rough place. Experiencing post partum anxiety and hadn't slept in weeks.

I called them (while crying) asking for an appointment to see one of the doctors. They got me an appointment that same week (3 days later to be exact) where most places turned me away or said the soonest they could get me in was in 4 weeks.

Robin who answered the phone told me "Don't worry Melody we're going to get you some help. You're not alone, and we're going to get through this."

That was the first time i had hope in over a month. I hung up that phone and sobbed from joy, and hugged my husband and baby. I saw one of their doctors Ivette who prescribed me something for my sleep that worked wonders but was also safe for breastfeeding.

Its been 6 months since my first appointment but im so much better and happier. This office and their doctors saved my sanity and my life. Before i started being seen by this office i was literally begging my husband to commit me. The anxiety and lack of sleep was making me delusional, hallucinate and have a mental break.

I want to say thank you to everyone on staff. Better Beginnings was life saving for me. My husband and I made the drive from Georgia because of my severe PPD and OCD. Each counselor is gifted so uniquely. I had a breakthrough moment with the counselor Stevie doing yoga. I felt like I could get through this and come out on the other side. And I’m happy to say I have now. I learned skills I still use at home to take care of myself and baby as well. With the help of Angel, I also received the Zulresso treatment and that truly turned things around for me. I am now laughing and connecting with my son. My OCD is now at a minimal and I feel confident again. Thank you God for this program and all who helped me along the way. ♥️
