I have had several counselors in the past with mostly good experiences (only one or two less than stellar ones, but never any terrible ones), but Shantala seems to be the first one to have pinpointed exactly what is going on in my head. She immediately provided me with resources beyond her practice when it seemed that they might help me even more. She also made sure to check up on me several times as I approached a very difficult place mentally without being prompted to. She never made me feel obligated to stay with her practice, but I always feel extremely welcome at every session. She made it very clear that I don’t have to see her, but that the door is always open. All of this demonstrated to me that she truly does care about her clients and I cannot thank her enough for helping me find the beginning of a new path that will hopefully allow me to finally understand how my mind really works.
