DO NOT schedule an appointment with Shari Linger, MS, LMHC with Breaking Free Services in Tarpon Springs. I sought an appointment with her to help me figure out why I have so many issues being able to eat. She came highly recommended and is close to my age, so I thought we may be a good fit. It took 3 weeks to get the Medicare approval to schedule an appointment and 2 weeks to get in, which I felt was reasonable. Sadly, with less than 2 hours before my appointment, she cancelled on me 3 times within a week! I’m told she has a full plate at home, so then why is she taking on new clients? Lucky for me the reasons for seeing her are not urgent, but what if they were urgent? What if I was suicidal? This could have ended up very badly in the right situation! And to make things worse, she didn’t even have the decency to call me herself. Shari may be a good counselor for the lucky who ones who actually get to see her, but she obviously DOESN’T care about new clients, her reputation or her business!!! She’s the CEO of Breaking Free Services, so if this is the example she leads her other therapist’s with, then I would be concerned to see anyone in this practice! If the CEO is Gaslighting patients like this, then how could anyone feel good about sharing their personal struggles with this company

I knew I needed help and came across Breaking Free. I explained my issues to the woman that answered the phone and she put me with a therapist. She thought would be a good fit for me. She proved to be accurate, and my therapist has helped me immensely a kind and compassionate, non-judge mental way, and I continue to grow, on my journey with consistent visit to her. I feel very fortunate to have found this place. I highly recommend giving them a try. If you are in a situation where you need a little help you can’t seem to figure it out on your own it’s worth a try. Nothing ventured nothing gained. Everything is completely confidential and goes no further than the room. It’s a commitment that you must make with consistency and dedication if you truly want to help yourself they are there for you.

I called to make an appointment and never received at response for weeks. Finally we got her set up and she was seeing a counselor, within a few weeks they changed her counselor because the first one was leaving. She was 16 years old, had been through a lot of medical and personal trauma since she was a toddler. She is now looking for gender advise. They were only communicating with her about her appointments. I am her mother and I 100% believe they should have kept communication with myself about her appointment days and times.She doesn’t drive and isn’t of age to make or break appointments, not even with her own pediatrician whom she has been with since birth. I get a letter in the mail saying they are releasing her treatment due to missed appointments, which I was completely unaware of. I’m still not sure if this is just a missed communication or discriminatory due to her gender?

I’ve been working with Jessica Moore for over a year now. I did see 2 other therapists at Breaking Free prior to Jessica. However, all my information was shared so that i did not have to retell my traumas in detail. Jessica is wonderful! She has really helped me in setting goals, staying on course and learning how to make myself a priority. Jessica has provided resources, advice and most importantly support. I would highly recommend Breaking Free Services and Jessica Moore in particular!!

The counselors at Breaking Free are knowledgeable, qualified and wonderful! Very grateful for the counseling I have received. There is no judgement with the wonderful people there. I am very appreciative for the listening my counselor does and her insight. She asks me questions that help me problem solve and practical things to work on. No one should be ashamed to ask for help and everyone deserves to get quality mental health counseling when they need it. That is their mission and they have met that need for me.

I wish I could of given this a better review. Our therapist we had was wonderful. Had she not left the company I’m sure this would be a much better review. My husband and I were really struggling. We had endured so horrible life events and needed help. We met with a wonderful person who we could both open up to. Never once being told she was an intern or that she would be leaving. Never once given the opportunity to change therapist. We were left in the middle of healing causing more problems. We reached out several times to the business looking for answers. None were giving.

This practice has an array of talented and gifted people from the administration staff to the Clinicians to the CEO and CFO. I have had extremely positive and life changing experiences in interacting with some of the best people I have ever known. This place has changed my life for the better. You will not regret coming here!

I can whole heartedly say that Breaking free has been a huge help to me and although it may be very personal I would strongly recommend people go to them. As a Veteran especially they took great care of me. I would absolutely recommend
