I reviewed this business negatively on Yelp because after taking nearly a thousand dollars from me they left me with no care and no assistance in finding any. That was last year. Bren just contacted me to offer me a partial refund. I didn’t read the full email but I should have. She expected me to remove my review in exchange for a partial refund. Not only is this immoral on a professional sense it’s also against yelps terms of service. O sent the money back to her and want EVERYONE to know that they shouldn’t seek mental health help from an absolute sociopath. ABOID THIS WOMAN AND HER BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS. She is in no position to be guiding people to better mental health with this behavior. If you’re reading this, and I know you are, you’re a worthless piece of trash and reached out to cause further mental anguish. I hope my reviews dog you and your business forever.

Bren has contacted me threatening legal action for "slander". Slander is when you make false statements, not when you tell the truth on a review site. I've reported her to her governing body and will continue to update this review with her shenanigans.

I also see she's replied to my review. I did NOT receive written notification of ANY of those things and was left without contact for months after being told my session was cancelled and my therapist was no longer there. Her inappropriate and downright UNETHICAL behavior is astounding!

I can’t say enough great things about Bren! She has been the most helpful EMDR consultant and has taught me so much as a clinician. Whenever I have a question or need guidance, Bren is there to help. She is down to earth, incredibly kind, warm, knowledgeable, and funny which is very helpful when you’re in this line of work. I know her clients must feel safe and comfortable with her because you really do feel like you’re in good hands when in her care. I refer clients to her often because I know she will take great care of them. If you’re a newly trained EMDR therapist, look no further! Bren is the real deal and will provide you with excellent consultation services. Her knowledge about trauma and how to approach and use EMDR is the reason I didn’t give up on the model and can effectively treat people who need it or request it. I also was fortunate enough to attend one of her trainings on trauma and eating disorders, which was very informative and a great experience overall. Bren truly loves what she does and it shows. She has various areas of expertise and as a result truly stands out.

I believe that for a provider to deny knowing a reviewer after countless charges for services and also correspondence is blatantly false.
That should ring volumes about denying knowing someone who posted an unfavorable review rather than the dissatisfied and questionable actions that led to the review in the first place.
There are advocates in the mental health field that can look into the questionable correspondence as well as actions of providers. Of anyone feels that a provider has not met their obligation you can get clarification about their words, behaviors, and actions.
I get it , it’s a business and to them they must put a lot of energy and time into planning its successes, but it doesn’t make them immune to people rating their business.
Most 5 star reviews I have read always read as if a friend wrote them. Especially when there are just a handful.
I can only hope that the feedback i had already provided would make sure that no one else that joins her practice would be subjected to.
What she claimed was an attack on her brand and going after her business by posting a poor review “on google” couldn’t be more wrong. My intentions were Just an honest review because I know all too well what it’s like trying to find a good fit with a resource. We want the best for our children. A handful of reviews…whoever they are…are quite pleased with Bren, and I’m happy for them. But my experience was quite different and worth sharing.
and I wish her brand to improve since with working with children the stakes are so high. But to have no clue who I am…. That’s an entire new level never witnessed with any professional.
Peace and light

Bren is a smart, insightful therapist, who is committed to her clients and the work that she does. She's a colleague whom I've known for several years, and I've also attended trainings she has given. Bren is a trauma expert and I'd absolutely feel comfortable referring friends, family, or clients.

Bren is a wise, compassionate and knowledgeable clinician. She goes above and beyond to create a trusting environment for her clients to heal and flourish. She is an excellent resource for EMDR, parts work and trauma-informed (and human-informed!) care. We have collaborated on several client cases and I appreciate her as a colleague. Thank Bren!

Bren is a tremendous therapist. She is caring, honest, fair, and considerate; all of which are apparent in her approach to treatment. She creates a safe environment for healing and fosters growth and strength within her clients. She is kind, patient, and relatable, making her easy to talk to and she explains things in a clear and digestible manner. I highly recommend Bren Chasse for anyone who is looking to work collaboratively with their therapist and see positive results within themselves.
