They abuse and mock the battered women in the shelter. I stayed here in 2021, I was treated horribly, and several women after me have similar stories unfortunately. This place needs to be investigated and SHUT DOWN! They’re doing more harm to victims than good!

After I saw myself in the streets with literally a backpack, no money, no family or friends in the area not even a working phone, walking miles to make it to the nearest Walmart so I could use their wifi, I called them and they sent a taxi to pick me up. I mean talk about compassion right there!! .
I arrived to this wonderful center managed by a GREAT LOVELY group of ladies that go far and beyond into be there for the women that like me, lost everything and have no resources of any kind. I was provided with lots of love and attention by ALL the house moms, office ladies and legal, personal and logistic help by the house manager Ms Ashley. To ALL OF YOU THANKS FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!!
IF you are reading this, know that U MADE A DIFFERENCE and gave me hope and I was happy at your home...and that I will be always grateful and return the help whenever I get back on my own two feet, I promise you!! It will be real soon thanks to the headstart provided by ALL OF YOU wonderful team!

This is a gem of a thrift store. It is off the beaten path but well worth the visit. Clothes are a dollar. You can stuff clothing into a 5 gallon bucket for $6. Everything from antiques to vintage to junk. New stuff comes in daily. Friendly staff.
