Our family reunion here was fabulous! We had 5 of the rooms and they were all wonderful! Each room was comfortable and clean with all necessities provided. Daily towel exchange got bath and beach towels was quick and efficient. Location couldn’t be better. You literally walk out directly onto the sand where lounge chairs and umbrellas abound. There are two tiki huts with a grill and tables for relief from the sun or to cook a meal. Our age range was 1-80 and everyone had a fabulous time. We stayed mostly at the resort but the local free bus was right outside the door if you want to travel the island. The supermarket and ice cream store were les then 1/4 mile. Staff is friendly and very helpful. I would highly recommend this resort.

From the check-in to the check-out, everything ran as smooth as silk. Upon entering our room (King Beachfront Suite), it was evident that the property is well maintained. The kitchen, living room, bathroom, and bedroom well exceptionally clean...and smelled clean, too. The view of the Gulf from the balcony was outstanding and we spent every evening marveling at the picturesque sunsets. We were initially concerned about island amenities since it had only been a couple of months since the hurricanes. Although there was still some scattered damage around the island, the streets were clear, the beach was beautiful, and every restaurant we wanted to dine at was open for business. The staff (Eric, Adrian, and Amy) were courteous, knowledgeable, and very pleasant, along with promptly taking care of any request we had. In summary, we had a very enjoyable and relaxing vacation while staying on AMI and highly recommend Cedar Cove Resort & Cottages. ~Steve & Stacy Reeves

This was my first visit to Ana Maria Island. I did not have a hotel recommendation and did not know the are. I would not return to Cedar Cove Cottage and here’s why:
- It’s about 3 miles from the island center on Pine Street with cute shops and restaurants. We walked there along the beach. That ended up being super fun, but not for everyone. If we return I would stay off of Pine.
- Our room was small and tired. It was advertised as “garden view” but should really be “parking lot view.” We had one small window, that we had to leave the blinds down because it’s on the walkway leading to other rooms. The AC unit is loud, this was a good discovery, at first, because it drowned out the road noise. It turns on and off as it cycles, also very loud, so we had to turn it off when we fell asleep. The remote to our fan didn’t work, so the ceiling fan was on or off, not able to adjust the speed. There was no switch to the bathroom fan, thus no bathroom fan. You can also hear a lot of noise and the hum of conversations from the rooms around. The walls are very thin.
- Assigned parking. Our room came with a dedicated parking spot. Sounds good in theory, if the hotel was full, but resulted in me having to reverse onto a busy road each time, and other more friendly spots were open. I was assigned a spot right on the other side of the road sign. Returning from dinner the guy next to me parked so close I almost couldn’t fit between him and the sign. I also had to pull out in the opposite direction, that I actually wanted to drive, and turn around because it was almost impossible to back across two lanes of traffic.
- To many emails. This hotel sent many emails with rules and cancellation policy and check in details and late night check in details, anything after 4:30 pm. I know that these rules and emails can come from past guests taking advantage, but coming from a “good” guest, it feels very defensive in nature.
- Extra charges. If you want a mid-stay cleaning $50, if you want more then 2 coffee pods for your entire stay $15. If you don’t take your beach towel back to the office at checkout $25 a towel. If you want to rent a golf cart or beach cabana . . . You see what I mean.

On the other hand, the staff was friendly and our room was clean. I was not grossed out by our room, but it lacked any charm other than the teal toaster on the counter which quit frankly, looked out of place.

This hotel was not for Mama, but happy I Tried a few nights on this charming island. This area has been through a lot with the recent hurricane. Glad we visited.

Could not ask for a better location. The room was immaculate, sand free (that is a tough ask on the beach - we did not leave it sand free).

The staff was helpful, overly helpful every chance they got. There is nothing that would have made our stay at Cedar Cove any more enjoyable.

Cedar cove resort is a wonderful place to stay. The room and the view is amazing and the staff along with all the amenities this resort offers is top notch! The island is open for buisness with lots of restaurants and activities to do. And of course the beach is a pretty as ever!! |It was a great stay and I will be back!

My husband and I planned a two night get-away here while visiting family in FL. Our plan was to have a few days alone in the middle of our trip to relax and explore AMI, a new place together. Cedar Cove Resort exceeded our expectations in every way! The complete relaxation of “Old Florida” abounds in the beauty and peace of its majestic oceanfront, quaint shaded tiki huts, Adirondack chairs and meticulously clean, suites and cottages! So much so, that we canceled dinner plans to stay on site both evenings just to have more time to “take in” our breathtaking surroundings. The staff is kind and welcoming. Upon check-in, Eric invited us to sign up for the barbecue/ entertainment night they had Wednesday night on the beach. What a lovely evening sharing great food and mingling with the other resort guests! Since our amazing time at Cedar Cove, I have booked two more stays for “2025” -one with my husband, another with a best friend. Looking forward to the unique private tranquility offered at this oceanfront gem!

My girlfriend and I recently traveled to Anna Maria Island and Cedar Cove resort (2/25). We absolutely fell in love with this place, the island, and the people! Will definitely be returning. Don’t let the hurricanes scare you, this island has busted their tails to open up and get things back to what they were.

A treasure on Holmes Beach, Florida. The accommodations surpassed expectations, the staff was so kind & helpful. The beach is truly magnificent! So much to do on the island but the best was long walks on the beach both at dawn & sunset. A gem, highly recommend for all.
