Chenal Family Therapy

Had my minor child in crisis. Therapy was to being at 2. Therapist left 20 minutes prior to appointment due to family emergency. We get to the office and no one is there to sign us in. Just waiting on this building... waiting. 15 minutes later someone comes out and is life, What are you doing here? I said my child has an appointment. Well that therapist left due to family emergency. They should have called you." We'll they didn't! I also provided proof of zero phone calls, texts, or voice messages. Awake for a Dr note because I had to take child out of school. They wanted to refuse. Eventually giving us a note with serious attitude and made us feel criminal. Following days friend to weeks turned to months. I left several messages for them to return my calls and reschedule the child in said crisis. They DONT CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOUR CHILDREN! GO ELSEWHERE!!!!!

Genuinely felt like a joke. When scheduling my first appointment I was going through a mental break down. There was no concern or empathy or patience from the scheduler. Did not care enough to consider how well I would fit with the Therapist she assigned me too. She didn’t assign me to someone LGBTQ friendly. First session was to start at 2. Therapist did not arrive and call me back until 2:15. Lots of Q&A on the first session. 2nd session, was to begin at 2. I was there at 1:45. Therapist walks by and says “I’ll be back in a moment.” Finally comes back to the front to get me at 2:12. Learned more about her during the 2nd session and we scheduled the next 3 sessions. She sent me home with CBT info to read. Get on my portal to make sure the appointments were set and she completely missed scheduling the next session. Would have shown up and waited for nothing had I not seen it sooner. Not worth my time to put in anymore time and effort.

CFT offers a wide cast of psychological experts and are patient when you have questions. Setting up an appointment is also simple through their client portal. Sometimes the wait times to speak with a representative can take a while, but they make sure if you leave a message they get back in contact with you as soon as possible.

Was assigned a councilor who constantly told me just to meditate and things would be ok. I had internet issues one day and missed less than half the appointment and was charged 150 dollars for missing the appointment therapist was often 20 minutes late to start the call and still included the time I waited in to my hour for therapy. I had to ask to change what we were doing because all he wanted was to hear about my week even though nothing eventful happened and none of that resolved any of the trauma I had experienced. I gave details of my life and was completely judged for things because they went against the therapist views

I've been through hell and back with my life. I tracked a councillor that was very helpful to this office, and when I needed her badly in my life, she resigned. I was moved to another councillor whom I never connected with. I doubt I tried, I was heartbroken about being ditched. Office management has no clue how to talk to Bi-polar people and will belittle you without the least sympathy to your personal feelings. Recommend you not put yourself in the care of this office. Beat of luck with all your personal troubles.

This place is a joke. If your mental health is not great please go somewhere else because this company does not care about the clients.
