Highly disappointed in this facility. I gave a 2 weeks notice the week before christmas and was told that the paper notice was all I needed to relieve me of any financial responsibility by January 2nd. Instead I get multiple attempts to take money out of my account and then a bill for 250.00 (my daughter only attended on Mondays for 83.00). When I called about it, I was told i owed an additional 103.00 for missed attendance. I informed them of the notice given in the proper timeframe and that I paid through the notice timeframe. They said because she missed a Monday, I had to pay an additional 2 weeks.

I went on to ask how did I had to pay additional fees when the Monday she normally attends it was christmas so the place was closed and also nothing in the notice nor in conversation when I gave notice and asked what else was needed, stated she had to attend both weeks? They said they will speak with corporate to work on the issue. Never got back. I called again and asked for an update and they said they were still waiting on corporate.

I called corporate myself. They tried to redirect me back to the center. After some back and forth about the issue, i was told they would reach out to the center and call me back. No one ever reached out. I called again and was told they would look into it and they are sorry the staff didnt tell me she had to attend during the 2 week notice but it's "in the policy" so technically they dont have to take the charges off. I checked the policy. It doesn't specify the child must in attendance(again I still paid the two weeks out as expected). She never got back.

I finally got a response, not from the daycare or the corporate office, but from the collection agency they sent the balance to. Now this is going to hit my credit. Now I have to dispute the collection agency along with the daycare facility. This has been a nightmare. I have always paid on time to this facility. I even had recurring payment setup so it automatically came out of my account every week. They tried to use this to pull money out of my account without permission after she was already removed from the facility. Now I have a bill that I do not owe sent to the collection agency and about to impact my credit negatively. What makes it worse is the corporate office is no help nor do they take accountability when their facilities make mistakes. It is the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced.

FYI, I was recommended by a coworker who shortly removed her child after she watched on camera that her daughter was getting her hair pulled by another child and the teacher did nothing nor did she inform anyone until the mother called the school about it. Then I was told my paperwork with all me and my daughter's personal information was "missing" but another employee stated a previous employee who recently left more than likely stole or hid the paperwork. This definitely did not sit well with me. This plus the fact when I watched my daughter on camera all she did was walk around unless she was eating or napping.

Since I've left the facility, I have met three other people who have went to the exact same daycare and have pulled their children out for either lack of care or horrible service. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It's not worth the savings. Plus there are other daycares in the area that charge decent prices and give an entire itinerary for your child where he or she won't be wandering around until lunch time or nighttime. Also other daycares have better procedures in place for violent incidents that happens among the other children. Children of America only redirects the child instead of correcting the situation or reaching out to the parents. I never usually write bad reviews and I tried to be fair but this has been such a ridiculous process that I feel if I can't get corporate to help me or even respond as a decent company should then I can at least try to warn others not to become a victim to this company

Sorry I ever did business with this place. Multiple violations found at the sites (check your state listings for the inspections done and what citations were noted) and failure of the corporate office (this location) to resolve issues. I'm based in Virginia. Lack of communication, staff changes constantly and by far the worst facility I ever have dealt with. Glad my children have gone to better locations!
