This place is such an amazing office. We were welcomed and taken care of beyond what I could expect. Dr. Kim is dedicated, educated, and worked so well with my toddler. Worth driving to Conway for the exceptional care and customer service from front desk to treatment and evaluations.

I'm 30 and have never had access to mental health care, so this entire process was extremely intimidating to me. When I say Liz at the front desk was -exactly- the person I needed to hold my hand and guide me through this process, I mean it. She was patient, thorough in her explanations, and immensely kind. She went above and beyond and I am so grateful for her.
I was also incredibly fortunate to have Dr. Mitrani as my guide through my intake appointment, testing, and results. He created an immediately comfortable atmosphere- alleviating so many fears and allowing for genuine vulnerability. He made this journey an accessible one and never once made me feel overwhelmed or silly for any of the hundreds of inquiries I had.

I was outright terrified to begin this process. I find it impossible to make phone calls and keep up with appointments and navigate through the labyrinth of our healthcare systems- let alone to be as open as I can possibly be to near strangers.
They made this as painless as possible.
If the rest of the team at Conway Psychological Assessment Center are on par with the likes of Liz and Dr. Mitrani, which I assume they must be, I promise you're in good hands.

I want to preface this by saying my grievances are not necessarily against CPAC as a whole, but are definitely against Dr. Nick Mitrani. I went in for an autism evaluation earlier this year. Dr. Mitrani continuously questioned my answers, my experiences, and my previous diagnoses. I was distressed and crying for the entire first session. The testing itself went ok, but when I got my report back it was horrible. He said in my report that this was all a “cry for help.” He said I wasn’t autistic, and that I just had OCD, but didn’t address my sensory or social difficulties at all. He said I did not have PTSD because I wasn’t outright abused or neglected. At the end of it all he said to try gratitude journaling (among other trivial things). I was devastated.

In July I decided to get a second opinion from a different doctor at a different practice. (Dr. Stephanie Steele-Wren at Psychology Works, if anyone would like a good doctor to go to). Last month I got that report back. It was clear, to the point, and without cruel opinions thrown in. And guess what it said. It said that I am autistic. I do have PTSD. I was not making this up for attention. This was not a “cry for help.”

Dr. Nick Mitrani misdiagnosed me, and was needlessly cruel to me when I was obviously in a very fragile mental state. Shame on you.

Liz is awful and shouldn’t be allowed to work the front desk. While I was answering her questions during my referral phone call, she abruptly stopped and asked with an attitude “Do you even want an appointment here?! It doesn’t seem like it!”

I was so confused and taken aback by this as I was just answering her questions. I’m sick so I’m not sure if she thought I sounded mad or what but you don’t speak to patients this way.

They also told me I wasn’t allowed to record my calls after I told them I caught Liz on recording saying that to me, which is strange. I have never had a doctor/clinic have an issue with that, not to mention in Arkansas you can record calls. I record my calls because people who speak to me like that within the medical field. I’m tired of it, and they never believe you without proof. They don’t want to be recorded because they know they speak to people badly and they don’t want proof out there.

I asked office manager Rhonda if something had been done regarding the way her only front desk receptionist had spoken to me, to which she replied, “I am not going to discuss that with you”.
Well, it involved me and I don’t feel safe coming to a clinic who allows employees to talk to people in such a way, then won’t let you know if anything was actually done about it. I highly doubt it as they wouldn’t even take the recording of her saying that to me.

I had a great experience working with Dr. Mitrani, who conducted an assessment for me. I felt very comfortable throughout the entire process and was very impressed with how smoothly everything went. Every step was explained thoroughly and everyone that I interacted with, including the front desk, was professional, helpful, and respectful.

I tried to call this business several times this morning and it wouldn’t go through. It just says “The wireless customer you’ve called is not available.” Very strange and I don’t know of any other way to let them know other than to leave this review…

When my son started going through play therapy, he was a uncontrollable non-listening child. My relationship with him was non-existing. After completing play therapy, he has become a wonderful respectable young man. Our relationship is completed different now. So thankful for Mrs. Kim and the CPAC family.

Took months to get an appointment and they waited till an hour before the appointment to tell us they wanted hundreds of dollars before the appointment could happen. It's a 2 hour drive from our house! They also said they wouldn't take our secondary insurance. Sure wish I knew that months ago!

If I had no insurance at all it would cost over $1,600 for a 3 hour appointment to get my son evaluated for autism.
