Not a Christian organization as advertised. Counselor didn’t remember details about our situation from one visit to the next. The office is weird, there is no receptionist so you just walk in and look around for help the first time and then sit in this waiting room which had a barber chair in it, like tis is an after thought. Additionally, my copay ended up being more than what they thought (I understand that is not necessarily their fault) but then they took out the difference for two visits without a phone call or email or text. Just a heads up of why they are taking $90 out of my account would have been nice. The experience just overall seemed very generic. Found a new counselor we are much happier with.

I have nothing but good things to say about them! I picked my counselor based off of the bios online and I was so happy with my choice. She was incredible. And the front desk and scheduling staff is always really friendly and accommodating. I was really nervous about going to counseling for the first time, but I’m so glad I trusted them.

Thier patient setup process is very cumbersome. Thier digital questionnaires have required fields that make no sense. Such as you have to put the date of your first appointment in your initial paperwork, but your first appointment can't be set until the paperwork is completed and submitted. Also many repetitive questions on a digital questionnaire, which is unnecessary and cumbersome for the patient.
My counselor is very kind and has a wonderful bedside manner. However, she is an addiction specialist and though I don't drink or do drugs she has spent considerable effort ensuring I'm not addicted to anything. For a person that came to the counseling to deal with stress, this can be frustrating.
Lastly, I use to get appointment availabilities via email, however that has stopped all together.
Given the nature of their business, Cornerstone Counseling could do many things to help provide a better patient experience.

If you are someone looking for or hesitating to raise your hand for help, here is your sign! I started therapy here 6 months ago and it has been a Godsend. For the last few years, I have struggled with anxiety and recently loss my mom to cancer and then had a baby afterwards. I realized I needed professional help when the anxiety, grief, and postpartum all came crashing down at once and that I had no other option to try and manage the rollercoaster of emotions and life experiences by myself- or have to rely on others to constantly talk me out of my anxiety.

Cornerstone has been a vital source to my journey of healing and has helped me learn the tools to navigate through my own emotions and thought processes while at home and also have healthier relationships with others. Having gone through therapy as a teenager, I know it can take years to find a good therapist let alone build trust with one and it can be a very long and frustrating experience. However, when I started seeing Elizabeth (the owner and my counselor) here at Cornerstone, I realized she was heaven sent and we clicked immediately. She is someone I wish I had as a teen, therefore I highly recommend her for all ages, stages, and walks of life. Every time I have left a session, I feel a deep sigh of relief and determination in that I will be able to conquer my challenges and look forward to a brighter future ahead.

My overall experience at Cornerstone was spectacular. My counselor was well informed and caring and the EMDR therapy provided was nothing less than amazing!
The only improvement areas would be the new patient paperwork required and the long waitlist for a new parient.
Overall. 5 stars and highly recommend!!!

I had a great experience. Stephenie Malan was my therapist and she is one of the nicest people I have ever worked with. The staff is so polite and helpful. 100% recommend!

I called hoping for help. The automated system never directed me to an actual human to address concerns that are not common. As such this I was reconfirmed people are not a true concern.
