On 11/2/24 a medical emergency caused me to be taken to Doctor's Memorial Hospital (DMH) in Bonifay to be stabilized before being transferred to a larger hospital. The ER PA and staff took great care of me, properly diagnosed the cause of the emergency, and got me on my way to recovery. Jimmy and the nurses, the CT technician, and everyone else involved: THANK YOU for your outstanding care.

Went to the ED after my Achilles tendon popped. James Sellers, PA, was very thorough, quick to diagnosis and effectively recommended my best next steps. All the ED and radiology staff were friendly, caring and compassionate. I could not have asked for better treatment and would highly recommend DMH.

Let me just say Doctors Memorial Hospital - Bonifay, FL The ER is the best! Mrs JoAnn Baker I just wanted to brag on Christina at the front desk, the nurses Charlie, Amy, and Alisa, Bobby in radiology, and James Sellers DNP- hands down the best care and service we have ever seen! They took a scary situation and made it a walk in the park for our daughter Isabelle! Best hospital out there y'all! Hands down! 5 stars!

The ER doc at the time Mcready is a joke to the medical community. This man is lazy and he’s extremely rude and this is the only medical facility I’ve seen where the doc is escorted by two “police officers” which means they are really cautious or he’s that rude to the point of conflict with patients or patients families all the other personnel were exceptional.

The only reason I gave 3 stars instead of one is that the ER doctor finally DID do the test that my family member was for, and low and behold—-the results revealed that not only was the test needed—but medications were needed to correct an issue!!! Families need to advocate for their loved ones! That is in every situation and every hospital! If they are left with no one to advocate for them—-there is absolutely no telling what will happen to them!

I am a resident of Bonifay and this place is a joke. We often refer to DMH as the band-aid box and here is why, I went into the ER in excruciating pain. Pain so bad I was throwing up and could hardly walk. When i finally was taken back after my wait in the waiting room the nursing staff was all very nice but when asked why I was being seen I described all my symptoms most important the pain in my lower abdomen and back. They drew blood, took a urine sample, and done a CT of my abdomen and pelvis. I received IV fluids and pain meds and was told my CT was clear and I was diagnosed with a UTI and discharged. Beings as I have a history with UTI’s I followed up with my family physician because I was not fully convinced that a UTI was the cause of this terrible pain. Also, even though I gave them a list of symptoms and complaints the discharge paperwork stated there was no complaint of 100% of the issues I informed them about. The radiologist from the hospital faxed my CT to my primary doctor and when he read the results of the CT it stated I had a cyst on my left ovary and a kidney stone in my left kidney. My doctor prescribed me medication that finally allowed me some relief after a few days of terrible pain. All being said I went 24 more hours after being check out in the Emergency room at doctors memorial hospital in excruciating pain because of a wrong diagnosis. I called in and reported the wrong diagnosis and expressed how upset about this situation I was with two of the staff members, (Jeanine Webb) and (Joan Baker), and they where both very pleasant and helpful in addressing and reporting this issues.

They are an immediate care hospital. They can treat for most immediate things. For specialist things they transfer you to a larger hospital.

The staff, nurses, & doctors are always very nice, very responsive. They are there to offer medical care to people who otherwise wouldn't be able to receive it, due to living too far away from most larger hospitals.

They can do Xrays & cat scans & ultrasounds (during the weekdays). Most of the time, they'll get you right in and seen by the doctor & sent home!
