My husband and I see Mr. Miklusicak for both individual and couples therapy and have nothing but the utmost respect and thankfulness for his professional demeanor and caring personality at the same time. I personality have not felt this level of comfort with a therapist in my 20+ years of receiving counseling services. I can honestly say that my husband and I will foremost consider Mr. Miklusicak a friend of ours for life.

Would not recommend coming to Sylvia for couples/marriage counseling. I had gotten a court order to attend three pre-marital counseling sessions to be fully evaluated and be able to marry my partner of 4+ years, due to one of us being a minor. After lots of consideration, and support from both sides of our families, we both decided to move forward with the marriage process and found Sylvia to be available for counseling. First off, she mentioned in her written counselors report that we didn't get to discuss many important topics therefor leaving us with an unfinished evaluation even though she had a list of questions to ask us since the beginning of our first meeting and chose to spend about 80% of the total sessions speaking about herself and her own family and life. Second, we had had paperwork needed to be filled out by the end of the third session but when she failed to complete it she told us to schedule a fourth session. When we mentioned we weren't up to paying for a fourth session (which was only needed due to her inability to complete the report) she offered us one final free session. We had mentioned we were on a time crunch and having a newborn made it difficult to leave the house often but we agreed. When she gave us the report after the fourth session we saw that she had written about how we were "financially unable to meet more than 3 sessions" therefore worsening our case, when in reality we just didn't want to throw money where we felt it wasn't necessary (mind you each of these sessions were $140). On many parts of the report she wrote how we were unable to get properly evaluated due to the lack of time in the sessions (a total of four hours, not to mention the long list of questions answered on an online link prior to the first appointment) but with this being me and my partners first time in any kind of counseling we were surprised by the lack of questions asked about us in person and the lack of chance to speak. To put it simply, we learned more about her then she learned about us. All in all, we had an unsatisfying experience and feel as though money and time was wasted with no positive outcome.

Downey park has been an awesome healing experience. I dealt with a lot of issues physically, mentally and emotionally. I have been going to see a counselor (Chris) at Downey park for every week for 2 months now and it has been an incredible healing journey. I still continue to see Chris every week but the feeling of freedom and healing I have experienced is Something I never thought I deserved. Thank you Downey park and especially Chris for your wisdom, encouragement and for pushing me out of my comfort zone to be the best man I can be. 10/10 would recommend.

I feel like Sylvia did all of the talking mostly about her family she was very nice but I really needed help I was recommended by my Pastor I really don't have 135 dollars to just give away being on disability but I knew I needed counseling!!! I'm writing this review so that you are aware and so are others . I do want to give 5 stars to the receptionist who was so kind and welcoming . Update I just want to say thank you for responding to my review Chris you had commented about making the situation right and doing that to me would mean setting me up with someone that actually will do counseling and I instead of refunding money my 1st visit should be complimentary if you agree with that feel free to call me you have my permission to get my number out of my file I just wanted to give a new update Chris called me and was very understanding of how I felt and has gotten me in with a new person and I feel very satisfied with our conversation and so I am changing my review to 5 stars.

I have been going here for about 5 years now and I have seen Silvia. I went through 3 therapist before I found her and I’m so thankful I did. The office is super clean. Silvia is really flexible with me and made time around my work schedule to help me at a hard time in life. My only complaint is sometimes it’s hard to get ahold of someone in the office but I know people are busy. I would highly recommend.

I've been coming to Downey Park for a little over two years. The hours are flexible for appointments and there's always a warm reception. You can book an appointment easily through their website with any of their licenced therapists. Therapy has been a very positive influence in my life. With the range of staff available, odds are good you'll be able to find someone relatable that is enjoyable to work with.

Brought my 8 year old son here for counseling and he loved it so much he comes back every week. His therapist Sylvia and as so friendly and welcoming and informed me exactly how everything would work. Great practice and completely recommend it
