My husband saw Dr. Alina to discuss how to manage anger. Dr. Alina was able to assess his concerns through careful questioning and good listening. He was given tools such as meditation and breathing techniques to control the anger he felt. I started working with Alina at the beginning of a compete mental and financial breakdown when feelings of suicide seemed to be the only way out. I was trying to take care of my family, maintain a career, support my teenage daughter with her own mental illness and just try and keep it together as a single mom. When my mental strength significalty declined and everything around me seemed to be falling apart, finding Alina at this pivotal time was literally lifesaving.
She helped me understand and articulate the origins of my negative self-defeating patterns of thinking through hypnosis techniques and psychotherapy that enabled me to develop strategies for dealing with painful emotions, difficult people in my life, and ultimately re-wire my patterns of thinking. She was compassionate but also constructively challenged negative perceptions of myself that ultimately gave me the tools to navigate challenging situations, especially around my children and ex-husband, but most importantly with myself!
I had never tried hypnosis before and didn’t know much about it, but with Alina’s combination of therapy and guided meditations she allowed me to get to the root of past experiences and empowered me to find strength and let go of old pain.
