We were in a very unique situation where my child had an IEP completed that listed EBD as diagnosis as a result of a singular life event which decompensated her. My child received therapy and when it was time to enroll her back to her magnet school I was declined because of the EBD listed on the IEP despite her stellar grades and GPA. My child was going to be placed in special Ed classes and would need to prove herself to the school district.

That’s when I reached out to Dr. Philene Harte-Weiner and she is a force to be reckoned with (lol). She advocated for my child as if it were her own. In one day she got more accomplished than the empty promises from the school district. She’s not afraid to call a spade a spade and knows in and outs of the school system. She knows who to reach out to get things moving. She’s kind, understanding, a great listener, compassionate, and devoted to children she serves.

I can go and on, but if anyone is in the same situation as we were I 100% recommend they call her.

God forbid you ask them a question about the services they offer. I know it’s annoying to work but that is not our problem and you shouldn’t be giving clients attitude. Unprofessional services.
