Dr. Bowarshi has been great. He dedicated over 50 minutes to listening to my entire history and concerns. He was professional, empathic, and genuinely cared about my overall situation. He clarified the diagnosis and proposed two treatment options, highlighting the side effects of each so that I was fully aware of the next steps. Based on my feedback and concerns, he ordered the med I needed and revised the prescription after the appointment to align it with my insurance requirements. I could not have asked for a more caring and competent doctor.

I had an extremely negative experience with this office. The staff member I spoke with was rude and dismissive when I asked simple questions. When I inquired about the cost of the appointment, she raised her voice at me, making me feel unwelcome. Additionally, when I asked to see the doctor online, she insisted I needed to see him in person first, despite the fact that I was told by my insurance that I had zero co-payment and didn’t need to meet my deductible.

Despite confirming with my insurance that I wouldn’t have to pay out of pocket, the staff member claimed I would need to pay upfront. This inconsistency left me feeling confused and frustrated. She also implied that if I canceled due to financial concerns, I would be blocked from returning, which felt like an unnecessary threat.

Mental health care should be a supportive environment, but my experience here was far from that. I would not recommend this practice to others.

I appreciate Dr. Bowarshi! I have seen him for over three years and have never been more stable or happy. He works with me and listens to my concerns while keeping my history in mind and prescribing me the proper medication. He is kind and gives helpful and relevant advice outside of just medicating. I am not a patient of Dr. Bowashi (sadly!) as I live in Canada. However, as I’ve been doing my own research into TMS treatment for my severe MDD and anxiety, I stumbled upon his blog that has several articles written by him about the in’s and out’s of the treatment and devices/manufacturers.

Every clinic in my city and most clinic/device-tied sites/articles/reviews offer very little tangible information that’s easily accessible for interested patients. Pretty much all of them use flashy slogans and highlighted reviews and require you request a consultation and/or fill out a lengthy form.

Price, device, accurate research data, and thoughtful explanation of each process aren’t provided without these barriers that feel intrusive, deceptive-ish, and solely intended to ensure you get a sales pitch masquerading as a consult.

As a depressed and anxious person who barely makes it out of bed and is desperately searching for relief, there is a lot of comfort and empowerment in receiving information in laymen’s terms from a medical dr who genuinely seems knowledgeable and aware of the many questions people might have and chooses to answer them.

I truly appreciate this and while my review cannot speak to Dr. Bowashi’s medical practice in the traditional sense, perhaps someone, somewhere, just as lost as I, may read this and find his writings helpful. Don’t give up!

I started coming into the office in 2021. I was immediately impressed with how everything was set up in a super calming environment overall, and the front desk staff were always lovely and helpful with any questions about insurance and appointments. My care provider was Dr. Bowarshi. From our first in-person appointment, I truly felt confident about my care. I believe the approach at Florida TMS Clinic is to use medication with the lowest effective dose. I never felt like I was being overmedicated or ignored in my concerns. From offering TMS alternatives to trying out Esketamine for depression - every avenue is explored before medication is tried. I appreciate this since I am very apprehensive about new medicines. I cannot recommend this practice enough to people who are tired of impersonal psychiatric care. At Florida TMS Clinic, they’ve seen me as an individual, not just a diagnosis. 2021 and counting!

It is such a hassle to find quality treatment when it comes to mental health, and we saw great help at this office.
