My 88 year old mother, who had never seen a psychiatrist before, was understandably hesitant and outright reluctant to visit Dr. Delvina Thomas. In fact, she was brought there "kicking and screaming". But as soon as she walked through the door, she was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was soothing and calming. The walls were painted in soothing colors, and there were cozy throws on the sofa. It felt more like a welcoming living room than the cold, clinical setting she was dreading. The receptionist was incredibly pleasant, immediately putting my mom and myself at ease. But it was Dr. Thomas herself who truly made the difference. She was kind, understanding and most importantly, a great listener. She is incredibly knowledgeable and provided an accurate diagnosis of my mom's condition along with practical solutions.
The best part? My mom who was so resistant at first, actually asks me to make sure to schedule her appointments. I too, was so impressed that I scheduled an appointment for myself as well.
Dr. Thomas is an exceptional psychiatrist, and I would not only highly recommend her, but strongly encourage others to make an appointment.

My 87 year old mother with dementia visited the office of Dr Delvena Thomas on short notice due to Hurricane Milton, as she was unable to see her regular doctor. We had to evacuate from Tampa due to hurricane Milton. Dr. Thomas made a same day appointment and went above and beyond to give us the proper medical documentation needed so that I could make medical decisions on her behalf. We are traumatized not knowing if we even have a home left, and how long we are going to be displaced, and many of her medical documents were left in the home. Dr. Thomas took the time to discuss all of our concerns and treated us with so much care, instead of like a number. This has been a very stressful situation for us and she was patient and gave us so much comfort. I highly recommend Dr. Delvena and her entire staff for geriatric elder care issues such as Alzheimer’s dementia. She went above and beyond the call of duty and there are honestly no words to express my gratitude for the kindness and care she provided to my mother!

My experience at DRT Wellness Spa was incredible! Just would like to say how relaxing and comforting the atmosphere is. While getting my facial I felt so much comfort. Paris did a phenomenal job and I haven’t gone anywhere else since I got my facial. Went in the other day for a massage and that was phenomenal as well. I don’t typically write reviews but wrote this review after multiple great experiences here at, DRT Wellness Spa. Thank you for everything you do for us!

I wrote a review yesterday, saying I was disappointed with the office because of a misunderstanding. After talking to the doctor, Dr. Delvena Thomas and the situation was explained, and a refund will be honored, I would like to come back on and say that the doctor was very very professional, very apologetic and basically heard me and I appreciate that. This office is definitely a good one to give a chance. And also fast acting and proactive Dr. Delvena Thomas thank you so much for calling me and putting a better view of the office in my mind and I will Definitely be coming back and definitely recommending

Dr Thomas was incredibly kind and the office itself was so comfortable to have my visit be in! I will admit that I dislike how the people who called my number in regard to the appointment only referred to me by my deadname and not the name I officially go by, but other than that I had zero true complaints about my visit! 🙂
