I was only 10 min late, impressive for me, for an appointment that was 20 minutes. Nowhere in the check-in process was I informed that it was a twenty minute appointment. If you care for your patients, design a schedule capable of their needs! 😉
The staff have been helpful and I have been having a much better experience. Thank you 🙏🏼

Existing client service representative on the phone was very snippy and not friendly when inquiring about intake meeting. I was told “what do you expect me to do? You missed your appointment than. You need to reschedule and you’re still considered a new client/patient.” I stated to the person that they weren’t speaking to me friendly. I was getting very anxious and felt discouraged to seek help with rescheduling because I feared I would get treated like that again. The connotation of feeling like I should have known better can be so damaging to someone seeking mental health counseling. It’s courageous enough to try to get help in the first place and they should consider having this person not be on the phone line. They’ll be the reason why someone gives up on seeking mental health services. Very disappointing. HOWEVER, the Elite DNA Largo office was very kind, supportive, and respectful. I won’t be calling the JUPITER location any more.

This place has no coordination and you either get someone from corporate scheduling or locally and neither do anything to make the intake process easy. If it was not so important, I would say that it was a laughable situation. VERY POOR people skills and have show no knowledge about the entire process..

I shared a personal experience of childhood sexual abuse with my therapist, and I felt that my concerns were not adequately addressed or acted upon. This left me feeling unsupported and unsure of whether proper reporting protocols were followed. I personally wish I never stepped foot in that particular clinician's office. Such concerns can effect the safety and health of so many minors and other aged people. Please be careful who you trust! Wishing healing for all childhood abuse survivors.

Had an appointment today, got transferred four times before being hung up on, THEN being charged a no call no show fee when I was there, THEY were not. There is no competent mental health care unless you are doing very well financially, in this economy. Thanks for nothing.

It’s been a while since I’ve been to this office but my horrible experience still bothers me to this day so I thought I’d share. It was my first time ever seeking mental health and it was a very overwhelming especially since I had just had a baby. The therapists and psychiatrist that I saw were great, very understanding and compassionate however the front office staff was extremely rude every single time I checked in or out. They were never friendly and when trying to schedule a follow up appointment at check out they made me feel like I was a burden to them. What upset me the most is for one of my appointments I was running a little behind being that I had a new born and was breastfeeding at the time. I called the office to let them know that I’d be about 10 minutes late and the woman who answered the phone said word for word, “if you think you’re going to be 10minutes late to a 20 minute appointment you are sadly mistaken.” At that point I had enough of their attitude and told her how every time I go into that office they are always extremely rude and hung up at that point. I called back to see what I should do about my appointment that I wanted to have but couldn’t and they scheduled me a video visit. I was supposed to receive a link to the video call but never did so just had a phone visit. I had one more phone visit following and from there never heard from the office again. Being in healthcare myself for over 8 years I was sickened by my experience and have yet to continue to seek mental health treatment. People wonder why there are so many that suffer from mental health but never seek treatment and this is a prime example. I never imagined that a mental health office would talk to or treat their patients the way this office did. I’m not sure if it is the same front office staff at this office but I sure hope not and if so I hope they’ve learned how to treat patients with kindness and respect.

I called on 8/8/24 at 4:43PM. The schedular (she refused to give her name but has been working there for YEARS, today was the first time I said anything about her rudeness because it was way over the top than her normal level of it) is absolutely unhinged, I'm guessing that this office does not record the phone calls because she is completely unprofessional. I called for information and it turned into a back and forth petty argument where she refused to provide the information I requested until I asked for it several times, and when I finally said "Why are you talking to me so rude, don't you work at a therapy office?" (I would think someone that works in a mental health establishment would at least try to exercise politene) she then asked someone behind her "am I being rude?" (I'm sure the person didn't want to be honest with a clearly unstable person and must have agreed, to appease her). Whenever I asked a question, she turned it into a request.

Me: which providers work after xpm?" her response "well he can't just change providers."

Me: (calling on behalf of someone) He just started a new job and isn't available until after xpm."
Her: "well he should have told the therapist that if he wasn't available after xpm."
Me thinking how was someone who she can clearly see hasn't had an appointment with the therapist in over 2 months (she had him pulled up on her screen), and I just told her he started a NEW job supposed to have known his schedule 2 months ago?!

The conversation went on like this. I asked to speak to someone else or have someone else call me back several times.

I have always recommended this provider, but now I must put in a warning/disclaimer "the schedular is extremely rude so beware, but the providers are great if you don't mind having the shedular speak to you in a disrespectful manner". I can only imagine how a depressed person must feel calling and having to speak to this unpleasant, unprofessional and rude person.

Edit: I see that the schedular has been complained about many times in these reviews, and then the office responds under their reviews. This is an indication that management knows about and allows it. I'm not going to waste my time calling the office manager. I'm now wondering if the schedular is the office manager?

Update 8/16/24: The business responded to my review 6 days ago and promised a call from the regional manager. I never received any communication. I'm not counting on them ever taking this seriously. If they just listen to the phone calls it is clear that the schedular has issues and takes a disrespectful tone most of the time. I have always been polite when calling (except for the last time when I got fed up) and her attitude is bizarre for a therapy office or any professional setting.

While I love my nurse practitioner that has provided me a safe space and a positive experience, it is frustrating to schedule appointments when they are consistently full. Being a full time college student and working at the same time, appointments are limited availability and they are fully booked 2 weeks in advanced. it makes needing to switch medication, getting a higher dose and simply communicating difficult. It also makes it harder to switch appointments times as they do have a $40 charge when you do not show up for the appointment. I wish they had earlier times to start appointments as most appointments are during midshift. Very unfortunate that I may have to switch nurse practitioners due to this.
