I have twice referred people to this place and both people have experienced unacceptable treatment from the office staff. These experiences were months apart also. I do not understand what the issue is with competency and lack of compassion and empathy of some of this staff but it is unprofessional and rude. Frankly, based on the feedback I’ve received, if these people were having a mental crisis and needed help, they certainly did not receive help and would most definitely not be calling back here to get any help.
When the office staff cannot seem to get the spelling of a potential clients name correct, then cannot get the insurance card number correct, what is the purpose of the job Further, when the information finally IS clarified, the potential patient is then told that “the information does not match up and is directed to contact the ins company to rectify the issue”.
How does this help The information on the insurance card is accurate and used in several places for doctors appts etc. Why is it that these people have such a difficult time doing a simple job that an elementary student could do?
Please, hire better help and hire people that can at least fake being compassionate and empathetic!!!
You are in a customer service type job. If you do not like dealing with people or the public perhaps you should find another career.
That said, I will clarify that the actual therapists are amazing and incredibly helpful as well as life changing. Yet one would need to be able to get past dealing with the moron mentality of the office staff in order to actually see one of these life changing therapists.

All our kids have made a lot of progress overall with individual and family therapy with Alan, Hannah, Brianna, Lisa and Kim. Our kids are adopted through foster care with opiate exposure in utero and Elite DNA is meeting us where we are at and helping all of us progress. Thank you for helping our family.

I had a wonderful experience today! The office is beautiful, easy to find, and the receptionists were very friendly! It was my first appointment and the therapist was lovely. We lost our son four years ago at the age of 29, and I’ve learned a lot about grief since then. It doesn’t go away, but it does change, and there are good days and bad days. It’s like trying to find a new normal. I learned there are many different forms of grief. It was nice to talk with a therapist that understands what I’ve been going through! I left feeling a sense of peace and my emotions were justified! Kindness, can really change your day!

What a horrible experience! First, They don’t tell you that they moved the office. Then, you find it go in and they tell you to fill out a link that they NEVER sent you! They finally send it to my phone and it takes 10 minutes to fill out! Then she ask me for my copay?! My son already missed almost half the appointment because of their screwups and all they care about is a copay? The front desk lady is just as nasty as she looks. She started yelling at me In front of my son at his first appointment for therapy! Real nice lady! You have completely ruined any experience and hope that I had for taking him into therapy. You scared him away from it. He was already super nervous and then you yelling at me in front of him really sealed the deal of him not wanting to go. He was so upset when we left. I had to wait months for that kind of treatment .Good job lady! I hope you’re reading this and step away from working in therapy! It’s not the job for you! You would fit in good at a Walmart with your poor attitude!

Their appointment line would call to schedule an appointment, however I would first have to speak to their billing department, I would be transferred, put on hold for 20-30 minutes, then sent to voicemail, where I would leave a message. This happened repeatedly for three weeks. I asked if I could get the appointment and either pay when I got there or whenever their billing department deigned to call back a patient. It was not permitted. I had no intention of walking out on the bill. I was already reluctant as I’ve gone there previously for talk therapy and felt as if it was unsuccessful and turned me off getting the help I needed. I have since reached billing, paid my bill, and removed myself as one of their patients. I would not recommend this facility due to the lack of communication within their own system.

Phone call less than 10 mins before appointment time that it’s cancelled. Not the first time I get to an appointment to be told it needs to be rescheduled due to poor communication on their end. Also, you check in online but then also check in in office which seems redundant.

My daughter just started going there. But I have had a number of schedualing errors on their part. The first time it was supposed to be a tele health appointment and they scheduled it in person my daughter waited 20 min for no one to show up. Especially since telling whoever makes the appointment and her doctor that I would always need a a late appointment due to my employer. I've also been very meticulous with appointments sharing them with my husband and daughter so nothing falls through. Well it happened again on 5/2(made this appointment in February). My daughter was scheduled for a telehealth I got the confirmation reminder on Sunday. But when I called the office to double check on the code I was informed 30 min before the appointment that she no longer had one and it was canceled by the provider the day before and reschedule it on a Tuesday without my knowledge. Only to to find out it was filled with another patient. To add insult to injury after attempting to get ahold of the manager at another location to no avail the office never picked as if they ignored my call purposely. Made me feel like my kid isn't good enough for their practice. Disappointed and upset. Mind you I still have the next 3 months scheduled that I made in February due to limited providers in this area for minors.
(Update) I did receive 5 phone calls on 5/3 but when I called back after work I was transferred from ft. Myers office to the medical office back to Port charlotte office.
