I met Emily in the 70s and really liked her. Last yr I went to her for a few sessions and felt that there was something wrong with me when she nodded off so often. I really liked her, but I think being awake/present is the number one thing one needs to be a therapist. It felt worse, when I brought it up, that it was discounted (she said other therapists do it often and laugh about it). then she charged me $1,000 for a session, and I had to take the lead to get that fixed. Emily is a lovely, smart woman, but it may be time to change careers. I bless her and wish her luck.

Just started seeing her when we set up a weekly standing appointment. On our third appointment she stood me up. The following week she stood me up again using the same excuse that she "looked at the wrong week." Um, how do you do that for a standing appointment? A good therapist is hard to find and I am disappointed at her complete lack of professionalism.

She’s a nice woman and probably smart according to clinical standards, but most of my time spent talking to her she asked very little questions and was nodding off about 50 percent of the time. I don’t know about anyone else but 200 dollars an hour would be enough to keep me from falling asleep. Especially when you’re talking to someone who is in pain and needs help. I’m going to find a new therapist.

Dr.Hoon kept falling asleep during our appointments. I drew the line and stopped seeing her after she jolted awake with a raised voice and an annoyed expression that "You just have to get over it Yaz!"
