Ms. Darla is very understanding and compassionate. Ms. Darla has helped both my son and myself with information and thought process skills to use. We were looking for therapy for my daughter, and was givin a referral to Families First of Florida and was contacted almost immediately by Desiree. She went above and beyond to get me the paperwork and make sure I had everything I needed filled out and ready for services. As soon as I let her know I was done with the paperwork she immediately went over it and worked around my unfortunate schedule with my daughter and was able to get her, her first intake appointment that week! So thankful for her. She is on point and very sweet and understanding of our situation. We need more people like this involved with getting our children the help they deserve!

Took about two months to even get my girls assigned a therapist when we were told it would be only about two or three weeks, we were so excited until we were told it was telemedicine when we requested in-person due to my girls backgrounds. Unfortunately the therapist wasn’t a good fit for my girls and we may have to look at moving away from Families First.

I would not bother with this place if you are located in Ocala. We started this process the beginning of Feb 2022. I stressed the fact my child could not do telemedicine appointments. I was told a 2 month wait. I did not receive a call until June(I called multiple times between February to June). The call in June was for telemed ONLY, which my child cannot do. I have now called 4 more times since June and no one will even return my phone calls. Its now September.

**After I left my review, I was called by a nice knowledgable person in Orlando telling me there was no wait list for Ocala. Last I heard was she was in communication with someone and they asked for my sons school name. So now we are back to no available therapists without the decency of a phone call, just a response to a Google review.
