We had an absolutely amazing overall experience at Family First. We were very reluctant to send our son anywhere for treatment as this was our first experience with anything like this. Our therapist in Dallas felt confident through his connections that Family First is the best in the industry. After an incredibly thorough and heart felt conversation with Tom, the admissions director, we knew this was the right decision for our family. Their incredible communication throughout was most impressive. Every single employee was so empathetic, kind, professional and compassionate. We felt so connected with our son throughout the experience thanks to the amazing staff who were always just a text away. Cyrus, Chris B, Haley (the nurse) - everyone was over the top giving of their time and guidance. Dave, our therapist, was an absolute God send. The most impressive aspect of Family First is the commitment to the family as a whole - not just our son. Weekly parent/therapist educational meetings, support groups - it's an entire community who supports one another. I've never experienced anything so supportive. We are now at Crossroads which was the next step for us after Family First and the aftercare support is unbelievable. Kevin has been a lifeline for all of us through the transition. My son frequently asks about several of the employees at Family First as he became so close to many of them while there. I highly recommend Family First and am so grateful for our very positive experience thanks to the amazing staff/overall program.

Our experience at Family First could not have been better. From the meticulous intake interview with Christian, ongoing weekly update calls with Chris B, the responsiveness of our case mgr Cyrus, and the family therapy sessions with Dave. To find a place where you never leave a voicemail and can text and email staff with immediate responses at a time your child is out of state in treatment...the caring and professional tone of all is unmatched. Dave truly helped us understand ourselves and our son in a way that could not have been accomplished without his ongoing push to guide us on a path to changed family dynamics and recovery. Aftercare support with Kevin has been an added bonus and access to family support groups indefinitely is unheard of and appreciated. Highly recommend Family First and acknowledge the forever impact it has made on our son and our family for the better.

Family First was exactly what my son needed, and the timing was perfect. The staff and team members went above and beyond our expectations. My son was treated with kindness and compassion, and we were informed of everything that was happening at all times. We were consulted and asked for our input before decisions were made. He was there for 3 months and we were always confident that he was in good hands and that he was receiving the care he needed.

I'm the dad of an 18 year old that was at this facility. The administration was helpful from the day we first made contact. Made sure we understood and were comfortable with the whole process. The staff were amazing. Professional, flexible when we needed some leeway, communicative and open. I am glad to say that my kid is still clean over a year and a half later but more important, they are still following up to check in. Would recommend to anyone and everyone.

Our son was a client at Family First this summer and we can't thank them enough for their service. He had a full team of caring staff that regularly were in contact with us to update us with everything from his health, to his school work. In addition to the therapy, counseling, and schooling, they went on fun outings, whether it was the beach or paintball, or the movies, etc, they kept him engaged and willing to actually focus and on the lessons and therapy sessions presented. I can honestly say, we truly see the transformation that's occurred with him. There are so many rehab facilities and options out there, it's imperative to find one that really works and Family First truly does. My son came home a month ago and is now attending an amazing
IOP program which in my opinion is imperative to the overall success of your family members road to permanent recovery. If your family needs help, Family First builds that foundation for the road to peace, and recovery.

From our very first phone call with Family First we began to feel a little bit of hope in what felt like a hopeless situation. Everyone there was amazing from the first phone call to our son’s very last day. They have such a gift in reaching these boys.

Our son has nothing but positive things to say about his stay there. These kids work really hard all week and the weekends they get to do some fun things which is a nice for the boys. He really enjoyed the outings, loved cross fit, and basketball. He said he learned so much through his therapies, and just in daily conversations with the counselor’s that stay with the boys. He was always met with compassion, kindness, understanding, and grace.

They keep you up to date on how they are doing with weekly phone calls. And you do weekly zoom therapy with your child. The therapy is so helpful to prepare you for when they come home. They do offer I believe a therapeutic boarding school and a few other options, but if you decline they don’t push it. When you finish therapy you have such a much better understanding of your son.

Our son has been home for a few months now and has continued to do really well. There was truly a huge change in him while he was there. He uses the tools they gave him in therapy each and every day. He has almost completed his outpatient intensive therapy, on to more therapy after that. I think it’s extremely important to continue care once they leave. They really do need a village afterwards. Family First helps you with all of that before they are released.

I don’t ever write google reviews. I just wanted to share our experience in hopes that if someone is on the fence about giving them a call that my review helps calm their fears. These people care so much and took such good care of our son. No parent ever wants to send their child away and it’s so hard as a parent to realize that you can’t fix everything . Family First literally saved our son , maybe they can save yours.

We were very fortunate to have Family First come into our lives! Our son struggled with mental health illness for the past year and we tried everything we could at home. After a year and not any clearer on diagnosis or stabilization we decided to seek out help. Our son was at the Cove house for 3 months and while he wasn’t always happy about being away from home, he had a team that supported him day-to-day and cheered him on through it all. We as a family had the support we needed from the staff also. When it came to family sessions we always felt prepared and when it came to every day things we felt updated. We have formed a bond with the staff at Cove house and they are now family! We couldn’t have made it through this hard time without you all! We would recommend Family first 100%.

This place changed my life!!! I came into this place addicted to meth and Adderal and came out clean still to this day and had clarity and different views on things that have put me ahead in life for the past 3 years, house A and B are awesome; the therapist are good at what they do; and the weekend outings make this place really enjoyable and I have memories here that I will never forget and I would pay to go back sober because it’s great and the CrossFit gym is awesome!
