Stay away from this office if you are a "senior" person. first they indicate they accept medicare on their website but do not. (maybe update this for new residents to Delaware) also I called about being a new patient on 6/11/24. Was told to provide all info and email insurance card, license and list of meds being taken. no response so I called back on 6/24/24. told again to email the needed front and back of insurance card. emailed again on 6/24/24 and was told they needed to verify my insurance which is NOT medicare. Called again on 7/11/24 to be told they did not have anything I had sent even though it was previously advised they had it ? with no response I again called today 7/22/24 to be told they cannot see me as I am 64 ? WHAT ? with valid insurance they accept. This is outrageous and totally unacceptable. They should be ashamed of how they handled this. please find another provider who will treat all people regardless of their age with respect.

I am writing this review in the hope that the facility will see it and make some changes to the way their practice is doing business. I began seeing Sandra Patterson in 2009. I absolutely loved her and it had been very difficult for me to find a doctor's office that I liked in the state. She was always pleasant with me and I was happy with my treatment.

In 2019, I lost my health insurance and I did not receive my yearly physical that year as normal. In 2020, Covid hit and so I avoided going to any health care facility since I was not sick and didn't want to contract anything from people who were ill. Earlier this year, I regained insurance and tried to schedule an overdue physical unfortunately, I was told that I would need to see if I would be accepted again because so much time had lapsed between appointments. The girl on the phone said she would call me back to let me know. Unfortunately, that call back never came. I do not understand how a doctor's office penalizes you for being well. It is completely disappointing to develop what is a very important relationship to be turned away without reason. Lack of insurance, Covid, and good health were my reasons for not being into the office.
I would really like to begin my healthcare again as I am overdue for wellness check-ups. I really hope they view the unhappy reviews of people that have been removed seemingly unwarranted and provide some training to the staff on dealing the public and make some needed adjustments to policies that do not serve or follow the ethical oath that doctors take.

Sandra is amazing!! She always makes sure any concern is addressed until satisfied. If it’s beyond her expertise her staff will find a provider that accepts your insurance and make your appointment for you. Family Wellness Center has been my provider since 2019!

So I have been coming here for a year now, everyone here is very friendly and the staff is very efficient. Sandra always makes her patients feel comfortable and comes up with good individualized health goals. Her office also has extra immune boosting medical treatments from in house Vitamin IV Hydration to Herbal Tea try it out it maybe a good fit there for your medical needs.

I called and tried making a new patient appointment as this office was highly recommended, I was told that I had "too many" medical concerns that this doctor could deal with. When I asked to speak to someone else, I was denied because I was already talking to the office manager. I was told to Google a specialist for my medical problems and I was hung up on.

It's not a receptionist's job to deny patients medical care, that's up to the doctor to decide. I was treated very poorly over the phone and not even given a chance to explain myself. I do not recommend this place!

The only good thing I can say about this center is that the people at the front desk are very nice. Specifically, one of their names is Ashley. The nurse, Crystal was also very nice. However, everything else was horrible. Waiting times are more than an hour despite making an appointment. When seen, the doctor was very rude. All I needed were immunization records, yet the doctor insisted on me getting a physical. I was told I needed to bring documents and come back another time, which I did. I brought the documents that I was told to bring, and they weren’t even used! My appointment for that day was at 11:30am specifically for those immunization records, yet I was told to come back at a later time because the nurse that does shots had left for break. Overall horrible service.

I have been with Sandra Patterson for quite a while. Being american i can say from personal experience i feel no type of racism from anyone in the office, i actually get the opposite, everyone there goes above and beyond to make me comfortable. Ms Sandra Patterson is one of the BEST providers i have had a chance to work for, i have never seen a provider that care so much about her patients well being. She is also very caring and will make sure your health is where it needs to be or she will refer you in the right direction. I WOULD ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND SANDRA PATTERSON TO BE YOUR PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN. Call today to set up your New Patient Physical Appointment if you haven't already!!!!!

Was scheduled for and 1015 appointment got they on time. I got pulled to the bac after 15 minutes and was waiting for the doctor for 2 hours b4 I walked out. Never even got seen. And I was only there for a follow up frm the week b4 and then when I said something to the girl at the desk she had this nonchalant attitude like she didn’t even care that I had been waiting for that long. So unprofessional. Then had the nerve to ask if I wanted to reschedule. I kindly told he no and that I was unsatisfied with my visit and I would be finding a new doctor and sending for my medical paper work. I love doctor Patterson but the ppl she has working for her are unprofessional and the wait time is just ridiculous. I would recommend them and they will no longer recieve any of my business unless changes are mad and they become more diverse.
