Katie the owner is the bomb! In the pics she’s working with my blind husband. Very supportive, enthusiastic, and skilled. I’ll be taking private lessons with her soon as well after seeing how comfortable she is teaching folks of all abilities, even us aging Gen Xers! ?

We had a last minute group of 6 and they were very responsive and accommodated us. The lesson was fantastic! We had two great and patient instructors and a couple of the kids were able to stand by the third try. We had one guest with special needs and the professionalism and kindness towards him was amazing. I particularly loved that they had a shark deterrent device for every person, as this was a concern for us. We plan on getting a package for one if the kids who got totally got hooked on surfing.

Katie is a great surfing coach. She is thoughtful, friendly, and patient. I took lessons with my husband and she taught us the best techniques, advice & always accommodated the lessons to our busy schedules. I never surfed before, and I was able to pop up & surf in my first lesson. I am very thankful & excited about surfing thanks to her. Cheers!

Best Surf Lesson, Hands Down!
Caught 3x the waves I’ve ever caught yesterday!

Yesterday morning I met up with Gaetano for a private surf lesson. I’m an advanced beginner and had specific skills I wanted to work on. As a landlocked person, I only get to surf maybe 1-3 times per year in the ocean so I try to catch a lesson for coaching and company when I travel. I’ve done this for about 10 years, now.

Also, I have a surf camp booked next year so I wanted to get some time and tips in the water to be ahead of the curve when I arrive at camp.

Gaetano was a fantastic coach. He is a great listener, really observant, and used multiple helpful coaching cues for minor and major shifts I needed in my surfing. Gaetano has great technical knowledge of the ocean and all things surfing, too, which I really appreciated. I even learned how to listen for the dolphins, who came out to play!

The best part of the lesson was he actually caught some waves while we were out there. It really changed the vibe from classroom pressure to more of a hangout vibe. That was huge because it made it way more fun and seeing him surf up close really helped me learn what I needed to do.

So much clicked for me yesterday and I’m still feeling the stoke today!

After the lesson, we ran into Katie who was super nice and celebrated the session with us. Definitely sign up for a class with this crew. You’re guaranteed a good time! ? Thank you both so much!

I signed my children up for surf lessons today. Katie, their teacher, went over all the safety precautions first. Which being a mom, I really appreciated that! She is very knowledgeable but also very patient with children. She had my children surfing the same day. While cheering for them the whole time!!! My 13 yr old daughter said, “She is super nice and really liked her”. My son picked surfing up with such ease. We are definitely booking more lessons with her!

Katie was awesome with my daughter (age 9) and her bestie. She was patient and kind and knew how to wrangle two energetic girls. They had a blast and learned a lot. They road a few waves in and were proud of what they accomplished. We are now a proud owner of a surf board and expect to take more lessons with Katie.

The Surf Instructor Katie was extremely kind and patient during my beginner lessons. She does extremely well in communicating her surfing knowledge. She also makes it so that you get the most out of your time and you really feel comfortable out on the ocean, even if you’ve never surfed before. I highly recommend signing up for lessons if you are interested in picking up surfing as a hobby.
