Florence Rosiello, PhD

I have been working with Florence for 1 year now, within that 1 year there was some big life changes. Without Florence I probably would have fell back into old disrupted patterns.. Now every time I leave her I feel a better stronger person each time. She has given me the confidence to become the person I want to be, has given me the courage to work hard at my business and to pursue my many hobbies. If you’re looking for help she is it. I’ve been seeing Florence for over 3 years now and I can easily say that she has changed my life for the better. Florence helps me navigate the space between who I am and who I want to be. She is helping me discover and discern my boundaries so that I can confidently move through the world of human relationship. The method of therapy she employs introduces the weight of freedom to clients differently than most methods of therapy. It’s not an easy path, however the longer I walk it, the more fit I feel and become.

I have been going to Florence for over a decade and her patient yet pragmatic way of helping me through many issues was invaluable. She has so much knowledge and experience that helped bring me up to a place that let my strength shine. I have found Florence Rosiello is no ordinary therapist. As a PhD, her education and decades of experience in her field, yes, speaks volumes to her credibility. When you add the rest of her resume of professional and personal accomplishments, there is awe of her capabilities, and you might also wonder if she had ever heard of a nap. Once I was a client and working with Florence I quickly realized the most important and unique thing about her wasn’t her resume alone, it was what she does with her entire life experience and her education synergistically. It is her finely tuned empathic presence, application of her education and experience, tempered with her hard earned wisdom, passion, and dedication. Her “real”ness and no BS is invaluable to me. Her wonderfully decided inability to mince words and her fierce boundaries are more vital to a trusting relationship than I ever realized. This is the positive female role modeling I’ve needed and didn’t know existed until Florence (Btw great role modeling for any and all people) I would recommend Dr. Rosiello to any person who is really dedicated to their mental health and well being, and leaving the all consuming confusion and feeling “crazy” behind. She’s amazing at addressing where responsibility of trauma needs to be placed and to whom it needs to be placed with, but to be clear, we are still the ones that have to take responsibility to move forward, grow and heal now. With Florence I have found so much more strength, clarity and confidence to live life more courageously.

I also highly recommend her book - Eight Fought to Live - a story about how she treated people with AIDS in New York as humans before society could. It reads easier than most books I’ve read!

Dr Florence Rosiello has helped me and my spouse more than any other doctor, therapist, counselor, coach, wuwu healer, or even alien abductor that I’ve tried. Yes of course I’m joking about the last one, but I honestly think she could even hold her own there, regardless. I have absolutely no doubt I could not have remained with the love of my life without her care, counsel and knowledge. She is invested in her clients and expects them to do the hard work required to achieve their goals. She’s experienced enough throughout her career to know how to cut to the chase and also how to weed out clients not yet ready to work with her. She is consistent, thorough, kind, yet unwavering in her approach. She gets to the heart of the issues and stays there. You will be very fortunate to be in her world, not the other way around. Therapy isn’t easy, nor should it be. It’s not an event with wine and cheese. It is painful work getting to the root of what is holding us back, being willing to own our own imperfections and shortcomings in who we have become, and then also being willing to make changes to move toward a more desirable future.
