I had twins that went here last year. One class was excellent and the other was horrible. Unfortunately the bad outweighs the good. The school is understaffed and the staff is stressed. We had 2 incidents of neglect, one which caused a staff member to call Child Protective Services on my son's teacher due to her actions towards him. This not a good place if you're looking for your children to actually learn.

I'm sure it's ok now. But, it was pretty bad when I was in there. They didn't know about stimming and thought of it as if I'm being bad. It was in 3rd grade. I even remember in lunch they were trying to get another student to sit "maturely" and she was overwhelmed. They didn't care. They didn't carefully analyze what was my thought process when I was doing something. It was just the worst school for autistic people.

Caution to all prospect parents and parents of currently enrolled special needs children. Review all documentation carefully before signing. You would not like to your child to end up in state custody due to fabricated allegations tailored to meet the criteria to supersede parental rights.

Please do not send your children here. Autistic children already have a tough hill to climb, in order to be their best and brightest selves. If you're reading this please do not enroll your autistic child here. The staff here are okay and seem very positive, for the most part. However, FACE is under staffed and at most times are ill prepared to educate your kids. If you are fortunate enough to read this before you are thinking about enrolling your child at FACE. Please do not subject yourself or your child to FACE.

There are neglecting teachers there.. My son keeps getting bitten..he has been bitten 6 times and nothing has been done about this. Bitter..ive talk to the director and his teachers and they havent done absolutely nothing to stop it... My next step is talking to my lawyer..

Traveled over 1000 miles to be here so that our son gets every opportunity he deserves for a fair education. Truly impressed wish more places were available for children like this.

I first went to this school back in December 2010 and left in March 2012. They only had one class for kids who were high functioning and I was in that class.
