Had an intake assessment in October of 2021. I was then ghosted by Florida Therapy Services after I spent months trying to get in contact with a person to see if I would be receiving services (therapy and medication) and I never heard from them.

Then on 01.20.2023 I received a bill in the mail for the "remaining" portion of the intake assessment bill. 15 months later! And the statement was dated 12.21.2022, and said that if it was not paid in 30 days it would be sent to collections. It was Friday, after 6pm, so of course it was after business hours and I could not talk to anyone about the fact that I didn't even receive the bill until 30 days after the statement date.

It's now Monday, 01.23.2023, and after calling several times in the morning I finally got a callback from Milagros Lacey, who was very rude to me when I was asking what all of this was for. Especially when I asked about my bill being sent to collections, she shortly said, "That's just something we put on there."

You work for a mental health provider. How could have lack empathy and compassion for people who are seeking/sought the services of your company because they are in need/distress.

I ended up just paying off what they told me I owed, I had insurance when I initially had the appointment 15 months ago but I do not now as I am out of work. I 100% do not recommend attempting to get services here, which is unfortunate because this place was recommended to me by an old coworker who is/was a patient there at the time I was originally seeking help.

Desiree the "manager" over records has to be one of the rudest inconsiderate employees I've spoke with at emerald coast hospital. When a doctor request records and even puts a deadline request date on the fax it should be acknowledged. When treating a patient it is important in having all records before the appointment, not to be told, "I have 2 weeks to get the records faxed and thats once I get to that patients name" then once asked by the doctor to expedite the records she says she never received a fax request for the records. So I drive over to fill out the form and to at least get a diagnosis cover sheet and she refuses that as well, after she proceeds to informed the front desk I was coming to pick up records and to just have me fill out a request record form put it in her box and she will get to it when she can.. like records for the doctor is important not just something to take your time on and especially when a doctor request records be expedited asap. Ask to speak to administration and was told they aren't in so I call and I'm put on hold for 20 mins then disconnected.

They take you off you off your meds and don't want to see you for 2 months without replacing it Talk to you like a dog. I know more than most of them do. The above person in charge has no clue what is going on. They have no respect and they have down graded. The office in Panama says they have no doctor's in office. But it is just doctors that can handle certain ages and types of cases. They don't have but 1 Dr. The lady in charge takes your words and turns the around. I think it's time for some of the worker's to get help. The place is getting as bad as life management. They say why don't you go somewhere else unstood of trying to help. The place is losing workers all the time. Poor manners. I am not a dog 🐕 . You are suppose to be in this line of work to help others not to make them worse.

Spent hours on hold for several days. Appointment cancelled on me. Trying to reschedule again got out on hours of hold with no answer. The "callback" I received was less than 1 second, barely enough time to register it happened, no voicemail left. Called back immediately to be put on hold again for another 4 hours.

Dr kayla roberts has been a tremendous help getting myself back on track with ADD meds. She really cares about her clients and is a wonderful person. Hard to find that sometimes. I've had zero issues with this office and everyone has been friendly. Keep up the great work and thank you to dr kayla!

I love my lady that I come to see but am not fond of the front desk people. For a therapy place, they aren’t very kind. And why are we still required to wear masks?! I’m close to changing places but again, I love Cecilia so I will stay with her. Please address the bad attitudes. It’s not good for business. We come in for traumas. Bad attitudes aren’t necessary. They are no better than the people who walk in the door. This is the medical field. If you don’t have compassion, find another job.

After months of convincing, I was able to get a loved one to agree to speak to a therapist. I called around for weeks and made an appointment before even telling her.
It was difficult for her but she agreed and went to her first appointment. She explained to the Dr about her depression, how she sleeps all day and feels overwhelmed. This Dr immediately came to the conclusion that she was there for, as he put it "sellable drugs". He told her this conclusion and let her know he wouldn't be prescribing anything she could sell.

This is disgusted and mostly heart breaking. I am truly concerned about this person's wellbeing and it took so much convincing to get her to see a therapist. Now that on her very first visit, she was accused of seeking out mental health services in order to be a drug dealer, not only will she not go back but I doubt I will ever be successful at getting her to try again. I don't know how to help her and the medical "professional" that I reached out to just completely let her and I down.

If this Dr has become so jaded and skeptical of the patients who come into his office seeking help, then perhaps it is time for him to find another career path. I say with as much sincerity as possible that if you have someone you love who needs help, be ware of this office and look somewhere else.

After repeated calls to get my prescription corrected that was written incorrectly, I finally got a person In the office that told me I had to come in and see a doctor first. This was not a controlled substance, and once again, THEY had made an error in the number of doses. When I tried to tell the office manager this, she said “I ain’t got time for this” and hung up on me. I drove to the office and confronted her. She was rude, unprofessional, and dismissive of the fact I was a patient. When I told her I didn’t have any sympathy for her and her excuses after over a week of my calls not being returned, she responded, “Well, I ain’t got no sympathy for you either”. The nurse practitioner has the office referring to her as “doctor” and she represented herself to me that way. During my last visit the manager and nurse where literally having a huge argument in front of patients. This place is going to cause people to get hurt through gross patient negligence. I encourage anyone who writes a one star review to contact the Florida Department of Health and report their experience.
