We're new to Frostig this year and have found the staff and students welcoming, and just as importantly, accepting of each other's differences. The classroom environment is state of the art, organized, and comfortable for the eleven 5th grade students in the class. Our IEP meeting with the school was scheduled in a timely manner, and although rushed, we were able to schedule a follow up meeting that had sufficient time. The teacher and TA seem to have assessed our child's strengths and weaknesses very well, and based on that assessment we've worked together to develop our goals for the year. Our child learns differently, and Frostig has the talent and expertise to understand that. Our transition has been smooth and our family has found some peace! We're hopeful that this year our child will flourish socially and academically.

This place is simply AMAZING. They single handedly brought my son back from the soul crushing anxiety and depression he suffered at the hands of the other schools. His elementary school teacher, Mary Frances, healed my poor kid and gave him his smile back. Not only that, but I'd been told that because of his learning disability, remembering long strings of information may be difficult, if not impossible, for him. Somehow Mary Frances got around that and my son now knows his multiplication tables!!
While some may have reservations about the age range house on campus (grades 1-12), they have no reason to worry. The older kids remember what is was like to get picked on, so they're protective of the younger kids. It's like having a school full of big brothers and sisters. This is one of the kindest places I've ever been to. We feel so lucky that our son is here!!

I graduated there sometime ago. Let me just say they don't let you go even if you want to go to a normal school.

I wanted to go to regular high school at nearby Marshall High full time in my senior year and they denied me that rather simple request.

That's something that I hate them for to this very day.

So, if you bear that in mind and you want your child to be coddled even if they don't want it, Frostig is for you.

This school is clearly about who you are, where you come from and what you can do for them. It must have been a great place back in the day but they have family tree lines employed here and it is not good. My student went in way above average in ALL areas academically and was basically chased out of the school recently after my asking for IEE's from our district to prove that this school had definitely dumbed down his curriculum while allowing others who were far behind to catch up and surpass. They promised to educate our student according to his level but didn't. He is 2 grades below in a certain area that we are now taking care of. So, i know what the parent below is speaking of. As far as the ones they like to keep--its for the money that your family bestows upon them. I saw some wealthy families with some high performing kids (higher than my lowest) and they never learned and returned those cash cows. They even created a program for them after they graduated to facilitate the horrible transition they provide during your 30,000+ regular year.

I want to call out the SOCIAL SKILLS TEACHER on InstaGram (who has family here, too) who is so UNPROFESSIONAL and complete snob. The first time I was completely turned off by the fact that she interacted with students of her choosing ONLINE rather than ALL and was very hurtful to my other student in a personal affair she should not have been party to. I think the fact that they all do this is rather odd. Then she is caught again online on another social media along with a TA male (a son of another female TA) belittling a now deceased child and their "NEGLECTFUL" parents talking about #americathefattestcountryintheworld #teachyourkids #besmart #howsad. These clowns had the nerve to attend the services and play the two faced game... This whole school is filled with phony, butt kissing for $$$ giving fool parents. A school that profit s off "special needs." No real help, just real coddling for good money, for certain people. They are selective, tease children, neglect yours as retaliation, and so many kids have left this place feel the same. I really wish they would find the time to post their negative experiences. Parent association meetings are held and it is there parents are told to go post positive baloney lies. Publicly funded kids are never treated equal, if you are not up on the socio economic ladder they ignore your presence and your kid feels it. Terrible atmosphere for smarter kids that know better, like mine. Very SNOOTY and NON-Inclusive environment unless, of course, you have something they want from the parents handed down to their kids. That is what's sad is how they treat our most vulnerable that we entrust them with. BAD COMPANY, STAY FAR AWAY from this place if your are not of caucasian race. Check their demographics, their records, their success rate after graduation (as i have inquired and never got).

Keep track of the Speech Supervisor and her services, too. That was clearly a rip off and she lied about that, too. The whole staff sided with her... what a farce.

For someone who grew up with learning differences, this school was not for me. It never helped me get to where I needed to be academically & the teachers were not the best. I would never recommend this school.
