Hi! I have to say, my initial assessment with Melissa was nothing short of miraculous. Coming from a previous psych who would not listen, who just wanted to overprescribe or kept that prescription despite the awful side effects I had, this gives me hope! I meet with Diane today and I am so grateful. I know this practice is fabulous as a good friend of mine has been here for a while, with timely scheduled meetings, no issues with medications, etc. So far I am very happy.

This place is one of a kind. I’ve been to many places over the years that just want to push different meds and not actually listen. Everyone that I have dealt with at garden state has been nothing but supportive and extremely helpful to my long term success in life. I highly recommend call now if you’re looking for the right mental health professionals. They understand the struggle of life.

Nurse Melissa is a wonderful part of the team at GSPS. She sincerely cares about you as an individual & treats you with respect. She works very hard to help you. I've been a patient with Garden state since 2020 and I am very happy with the Doctors, all very helpful and understanding, one person stands out in my mind, this individual has gone above and beyond on many occasions, she is the one constant at this particular office, I have had more than a half dozen doctors in less than 5 years and my medications were always getting lost or forgotten or the pharmacy and pharmacist messed up and Mrs. Fisher has been there for me, above and beyond, my only constant within a sea of doctors, constantly having to tell my story each time I got a new doctor, it was really stressful, every couple of months I would build up a rapor with a psych and then they would leave, and This particular person, no matter how bad it Got, how upset, how angry she was always so professional and understanding, always returned my calls and emails, just genuinely cared about helping me, she has single handedly made my experience with Garden state a positive one, no judgement or attitude, patient and professional, never patronizing or condescending, I have nothing but gratitude, appreciation and respect for M. Fisher...

I have never had a better provider. The staff of Garden State have always been kind, considerate and always apologetic if my call isn’t answered or called back the same day. Thanks to Diane, Lisa, and Sharon. You are much appreciated. Some people fail to work their issues out in a healthy, proper way, and then blow up Google. Keep up the good work!

I was a patient of GSPS for 4 years but due to a decline in my wellbeing I hadn’t been with them in a bit. I recently went into a program and they told me to call when I was discharging to schedule a new intake so I could continue care with them. However I called multiple times near my discharge and I got no answer whatsoever. I tried both the new intake line and the general office and I heard crickets. As a patient of several years this is a huge let down because I was excited to return. However, I cannot wait for you to decide to one day return my calls at your convenience. This is extremely disappointing and I most likely will never recommend this place to anyone ever again.

I love this office. The staff was super friendly and helpful getting me set up as a new patient. Both the nurse that I met for my consult and the psychiatrist were friendly and helpful. I’m very happy with my new dr.

As many others have stated……this place is very unprofessional, DO NOT see them, specifically Diane Wright. I recently went here after a long hiatus of not seeing a psychiatrist due to a previous bad experience. At first, the patient intake meeting was good and this placed seemed like they would work out but when I started to see Diane Wright, it took a sharp downhill turn. I only saw her a total of 3 times before realizing that this place was not worth it. She seemed to never be able to stick with the schedules that she sets for her patients, and she also seemed very unorganized. The first day that I was supposed to see her, she not only didn’t send a link for the meeting, but she called the morning of our meeting to tell me that she needed to push back the time. Okay….first time mistake, whatever, but the next time she told me she was available on a specific day for a “check in” (before Thanksgiving) and then follows up a few days later to say she forgot she was off. We then reschedule for a day after Thanksgiving which she later follows up to say that she didn’t have me scheduled. I had to send her a screenshot of our own text conversation to remind her of the appointment she set. We finally see each other on the day after she originally scheduled to see me. On that day, I tell her that I would be having some insurance changes and would not be able to see her during the month of December. She ends up letting me know we could talk early in December and that the session was “on her”. The day we were scheduled for in December, she calls me an hour and a half earlier than we were scheduled and assumed that time worked for me. I tell her I was doing something in between time for work and assured her I could see her at our scheduled time. She says don’t worry about it and tells me that she would get back to me about rescheduling……once again, she didn’t. When I reach out to her by text to ask if she was gonna get back to me about our next session, she responds by calling me Maria and has no clue what I’m talking about. At this point, I was pretty frustrated with how she conducted business. I let her know that I would have really liked to see someone before the end of the month was over, so she tells me to call the office, which I was already doing for a separate insurance related issue and was not getting any response from them. So I call back regarding this issue and was still getting no response. This was the tipping point for me, I had sent Diane several messages expressing my frustration with everything, to which she replied with a very unprofessional and somewhat nasty message. After weeks of the runaround, no one responding, no one giving me any real information as to when I was seeing her, or no one updating me about updating my insurance info, I see it as a slap in the face to receive such a nasty message. In her voice message that she sends , she tells me I’m “acting benign” and told me I needed to “calm down” several times. This is no way a psychiatrist, out of all people, should be talking to a patient who they are just establishing a relationship with. The only redeeming part about my experience with this place is the lovely receptionist, Lisa, who I explained this whole situation to, to which she listened with nothing but empathy and compassion. Sad that the actual psychiatrist couldn’t even show that much understanding. Please run the other direction if you do decide to go this place and are places with Diane.
