To fine tune our relationship, we sought out a neutral party to discuss some issues that we were struggling with. After searching around and interviewing several places, we discovered Gateway and Dr John. Immediately, we knew we were in very capable hands with Dr. John. He has been amazing with his gentle guidance and insight. We were able to instill these thoughts and practices into our lives for a fabulous and mutual benefit. Having read some reviews and looked over their website, I decided Gateway would be a good choice for help with a few issues, mainly grief counseling. I am very happy with my decision because Dr. John Hawkins Sr has been so helpful! Fairly early on, we established a plan for my sessions including a basic timeline and goals. This has helped me see how I am progressing, and also provides motivation for me to do the work I need to do between sessions. He is warm yet professional, and very easy to talk to. I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this- “just wanted some help”, but he helped me figure out what was important for us to work on. Between the insights he provided, and those that came from within which he inspired and empowered me to figure out for myself, I feel such a positive change in my life. I cannot recommend this place highly enough! Whatever it is you are dealing with, you can be confident this is a place you can come to for real help

I am not sure why it has taken me so long to leave this review, but John Hawkins Jr, has become an essential part of our lives!

My wife and I started to meet with John weekly in Jan 2018, and this past year, have stepped it back to every other week.

Originally, we went for marriage issues, which John helped us figure out, is never just about the marriage.

He has helped both of us work through childhood trauma's, and both of us navigate the water's of Entrepreneurship while building a business, balancing our marriage, our interpersonal relationships, and our walk with Christ.

And, he does it all in a way that makes sense, with compassion, and understanding.

I recommend John Hawkins Jr, every opportunity that I get.
