After a 3 year hiatus from therapy, I was very nervous about finding a new therapist. This was also my first time using insurance to cover therapy (I have always done self pay in the past). Genesis Counseling made the process incredibly easy and I was able to start seeing someone soon after I called. I highly recommend Dvora — I feel like she understood me from the second I sat down. She has also been super flexible in scheduling! Overall, highly recommend both Dvora and Genesis Counseling.

I've been seeing Olivia Savor for several months during what has been a tremendously challenging period in my life, and from the very first session to present day, it has been a truly excellent experience.
She has the full scope of skill sets/training/personality/demeanor from the clinical side to the human element; it's been a game changer for me - and I've been so impressed with the entire organization at Genesis since I first called to schedule and did my intake with Will, to my ongoing sessions with Olivia.

This review specifically focuses on my experience with Chrissy A. As a therapist who sees clients at an intermittent level of care, Chrissy is a referral I keep handy for individuals who struggle with emotional regulation and being able to handle distressing situations in healthy ways.
Chrissy utilizes DBT-focused treatment that is concrete and easily understandable to assist her clients in learning new ways to live. Chrissy has a welcoming demeanor, maintains patience during challenging situations, and is a great listener. The mutual clients we have shared over the years have nothing but positive feedback to share regarding their interactions, and Chrissy's openness to collaborating is welcomed to me as a clinician.

I had a terrible experience with Jennifer Garcia. She literally made me feel 10x worse after all my sessions with her. Therapy is supposed to make patients feel better after each session. In this case, I always felt like I was being judged. Jennifer made me cry and made me feel worthless after each session. She did nothing but judged, belittled me and made me feel like a worthless human. I would not recommend her to anyone seeking mental health. I was going through a very difficult and depressing time in my life and Jennifer did not help in anyway other than making me feel completely horrible about myself.
