Great Strides quickly follows up after referral for evaluation and schedules quickly. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and take the time to answer all questions and go the extra mile. Lindsay Cancel worked with my son in his private school and really impressed me with her care and work ethic. Recommend highly.

My family and I love Great Strides! In particular, the mandarin location. My little one has been in speech, occupation therapy, and Aba therapy for almost 2 years now, and he loves the staff and facility! I really recommend them!

First, we love the therapists (OT/ST) we currently see. Another who we started off with was nice, but not a great fit for our child so I was happy when they assigned us the new OT.

During our time here, some departments have been so confusing with the info they provide (billing and intake). I'm not sure if it has anything to do with staff changes, but it shouldn't matter. It's like the left-hand doesn't know what the right is doing. Both can be improved.

The facility itself is nice, but should be kept cleaner. I'm not sure if someone cleans the bathrooms throughout the day, but I went into one the other day and it was terrible (diapers were falling over & out of the trash can). It was gross.

Most therapists seem to treat the kids well. However, while sitting in the waiting room recently, I heard one (who was in or near the waiting room bathroom) try to talk what sounded like a 2-4 year (I could be wrong about the age) into saying a particular word. I love the push because I believe our babies can do it, but after they were done with the exercise, he asked for some water and she told him NO, because he didn't say the word. I don't know what type of therapy you'd call that, but if I ever hear someone telling my kid they can't have some water because they didn't say a word (while being a patient in this atmosphere), we're having major issues. It wasn't just what she said, but how she said it. I don't know if any parents agree to allow things like that, but it pissed me off.

I’ve bringing my son here for a while. The therapist is great and very friendly. I am already starting to see progress. However the front desk receptionist always seems annoyed and inconvenienced when speaking to her. I always cringe when I have to go in and interact with her due to how unpleasant she is. It’s just odd since she is the first person you interact with. Our first session I came 15 mins early because I was not sure what to expect. She didn’t greet me or let me know our therapist wouldn’t be out until our actual start time.

Everything started out great. My little one has shown improvement with their speech since starting at Great Strides. Her therapist is wonderful and very helpful with any questions or concerns I've had. The billing department however does not follow through with what they say they are going to do and does not keep their word when insurance won't pay. About a month and half after my little one started going to Great Strides the authorization for speech therapy was not approved. I spoke with the billing manager and I asked if we should stop therapy until the insurance part was resolved because we did not want to pay out of pocket when it would be substantially more than what the price would be with insurance. She said not to stop therapy that if insurance denied our appeal then they would honor what insurance would allow and we would pay what would have been due if insurance had approved it, which would be our 20%. I have spoken with the billing manager almost every week since this initial discussion and have confirmed every time that they would honor this verbal agreement. Today, I was told by the billing manager that they would not honor this agreement for six of the visits that were attended before we decided to go to private pay. They also take several days to call you back or follow-up when you leave them a voicemail. I've been treated like a nuisance and spoken to with attitude and a lack of empathy for trying to advocate for my little one's treatment. I would advise other parents to not use Great Strides if they think their insurance will not pay for any type of therapy. They will not honor their word and will treat you like you are an annoyance.
